The Alexandria-Prussia Office of Open Records (OOR) is an independent agency within the Alexandrian-Prussian central government. Its primary role is to enforce Right to Know Act and The Sunshine Act on all branches within the Central Government.

OOR employs the third highest amount of lawyers and paralegals only behind Department of Justice and Office of General Counsel within the Executive Branch.

History

In July 2019 it was announced that Teri Morehead would retire from her post as the Secretary of Open Records having served as the Secretary since the creation of the office. By September of 2019 Minister-President Elizabeth McCord announced that she would nominate lawyer and journalist Ammar Massoud to the position. Massoud is best known for his Kingston Times exposé exposing corruption in both Georgian Legislative and Judaical branches. Again McCord was criticized by certain conservative and moderate lawmakers for picking a candidate who was younger and lack experience of running public agency.

At Massoud confirmation hearing he was grilled by both conservative and moderate leaning members of the Judiciary and Governmental Affairs Committee in the House of Lords. When asked why he wanted to be appointed to the post Massoud replied "Because right now we need more accountability and openness in government. Right now thousands of citizens are denied access to documents that they have a right to see and should see. The Office of Open Records is able to give this citizens a voice and hold are government officials accountable and remove culture of secrecy."

Massoud nomination was reported out of the committee on October 11, 2019. On October 14, 2019, Massoud was confirmed as Secretary of Open Records by the House of Lords in a 41–39 vote.
