The 2022 Pitz World Court was the 86th annual world championship for national Pitz team organized by the Pitzalk'in Temple' Secular Rectorate and hosted by Tyreseia. Tyreseia gained the right to host the competition after its victory in the previous edition, then held in the Mutul, defeating Tsurushima in the finals 5 to 2.

A semi-professional event, the World Court is open to both professional and amateur teams. In total, 20 countries were involved in the tournament phase. 47 matches were played in a number of venues across New Tyria, the main stadium being the Estadju Proledoja, in which the finals among other confrontations were held.

The host and defending champion, Tyreseia, fought its way up to the Finals were it was ultimately defeated by Belfras national team. As a result, the 2023 Pitz World Court will be hosted in Belfras.

In the wake of the 2021 Mulawil Halaab protests, fear of hooliganism marked the beginning of the competition, but strong police surveillance minimized confrontations between fans. But certain matches saw more violence than others. The opening day thus saw Drop-Scatterers from the Mutul challenging Tyreseians Firms before the Tyreseian - Mutul match, but tension dropped afterward. Charneans fans were noted as particularly aggressive and were involved in a number of violent incidents. Charneans mobs infamously began to September 12th Pitz Riots following their team shameful defeat at the hand of Tyreseia during the quarterfinals. They targeted both Tyreseians and Mutuleses supporters, notably peaking to the Siege of the Hotel where Drop-Scatterers stopped Charneans mobs from entering the Mutuleses' fans hotel. The departure of the Charneans after the quarterfinals correlated with a drop in violence between supporters. These events are generally considered to mark the end of the 2021-22 Pitz Hooligan Wars.
