The 9th Division or 9th Zanarkian Division is a division of the Zanarkian Army that served during the Second Europan War. It was the fourth division raised for the Fifth Zanarkian Imperial Force (5th ZIF). The distinctions of the division include it being:
- In front line combat longer, cumulatively, than any other Zanarkian division;
- One of the Zanarkian military's most decorated formations;
- The only 5th ZIF division formed in the United Kingdom, from infantry brigades and support units formed in Zanarkian;
- Praised by both Allied and Imperial generals, as well as non-Zanarkian military historians;
- Like the 6th and 7th Divisions, being one of only a few Allied army units to serve in both the Africanna and Pacificanna theatres, and;
- It is also worth noting that it was called "The Love Division" since lovers Edward Samegawa and Chae Hwa-young both shared their command on the division. The division was also responsible for sponsoring the couple's wedding and in the modern time, sponsored the wedding of its current ceremonial chief, Richard Philip Todd and his lover, Seon Myung-dae in 2015.
It was reactivated during the War of Lorican Aggression and once more proved its value and worthy of remaining in the Zanarkian Military Orders. It was one of the few Zanarkian Divisions, along with the 7th and 6th to continue seeing service up to the present.
