Antonio Celeste (15 October 1910 - 23 March 2012) was a Balambian soldier and officer who served during the Estharian Civil War and the Second Europan War.
A veteran of the Estharian Civil War, Celeste is one of the few Estharians and Balambians who served in the Special Air Service in conjunction with the Special Operations Executive. Celeste was personally asked by Generalissimo A.C.G. Lindholm to join the SOE in order to observe and report on him from time to time on how to conduct special operations behind enemy lines. It was close relationship with the Generalissimo that Celeste is credited for having laying the foundation of the Estharian and Balambian Legion, Esthar's primary special forces unit. Despite having a tough look, Celeste often has a soft spot for children and cooking, hence Celeste is often found cooking when not in duty. He is also visiting orphanages to cook for children.
Following the war, Celeste returned home to his native Esthar. He reunited with his wife and 3 children. When the War of Lorican Aggression came, he was called back to the army, but as an instructor for special forces recruits. He retired in 1965. He opened an orphanage with his wife, which still continues to operate, even after Celeste's death in 2012.
Celeste is regarded as one of the founding fathers of the Estharian and Balambian Legion in its current form.
