Juho Hietanen (15 November 1914) is a retired Balambian soldier who served during the Estharian Civil War and the Second Europan War.

A veteran of the Estharian Civil War, Hietanen is one of the few Estharians and Balambians who served in the Special Air Service in conjunction with the Special Operations Executive. The reason being is his experience in close quarters combat. He is also a recipient of Balamb's highest award for valour, the Grand Cross of Balamb. He is known for his close friendship with fellow civil war veteran Antonio Celeste, a soldier of the largely religious CEDA who fought on the side of the Nationalists during the civil war. Hietanen is also a frank person, being that he is fond of comforting people around him. He is also Oboe Company's joker and clown, often seeing enjoyment in making fun of various Imperial propaganda.

He is the paternal grandfather of Rika Hietanen, an intelligence officer serving in the ILESOC during the Arachnid Drug War.
