The Armed Forces of Tasiastan (پاکستان مسلح افواج), also known as the Tasiastan Armed Forces, are the combined military forces of Tasiastan. It is the world's tenth-largest military measured by active military personnel and consist of three formally uniformed services—the Army, Air Force, and Special Forces which are backed by various constitutionally−sanctioned paramilitary forces. A critical component to the armed forces' structure is the Strategic Plans Division Force, which is responsible for the maintenance and safeguarding of Tasiastan's tactical and strategic nuclear weapons stockpile and assets.
The Tasiastan Armed Forces have existed since 1722, though in their current form they were established post-independence in 1999 after Tasiastan separated from the United Communist and Socialist States. Since independence, Tasiastan's greatest competitor militarily has been the member states of Alliance of Central and West Ausianan Cooperation, which completely surround Tasiastan geographically. Since the mid 2000s, Tasiastan's closest military partners have been Haduastan, Zamastan, and Quetana, with the three working jointly to develop the Ju-10, the K-8, and various weapons systems. Zamastan and Caspiaa have both endorsed Tasiastan's 'special relations' status with WEDA. As such, Tasiastan procures the bulk of its military equipment from Haduastan, Zamastan and its own domestic suppliers.
The armed forces are generally highly approved of in Tasiastani society. Since the founding of Tasiastan, the military has played a key role in holding the state together, promoting a feeling of nationhood and providing a bastion of selfless service. As of April 2021, Tasiastan was the sixth-largest contributor to Coalition of Crown Albatross peacekeeping efforts, with 4,516 personnel deployed overseas. Other foreign deployments have consisted of military personnel serving as military advisers in various South Adulan countries like Apatonia, Zalluabed, and Cyruda.
