Cassier-Gaullica relations (Gaullican: Relations Relations entre la République de Cassier et la République gaulloise) are the bilateral relations of the Republic of Cassier and the Republic of Gaullica. The history between the two countries began in earnest with the arrival of Rogerin Dumont and his declaration of Gaullica’s claim to what is now Cassier in 1534.
Formal relations between Gaullica and Cassier formally started in 1757 when the colonies of New Gaullica (Gaullican: Nouvelle-Gaullice) were confederated into the Domain of Cassier, the first dominion of the Gaullican Empire. Its status as a dominion, effectively making Cassier into an overseas extension of Gaullica itself. This granted Cassier various rights and privileges not afforded to other colonies in the Gaullican Empire, while leaving foreign affairs and final authority firmly under the control of Verlois. Cassier was staunchly loyalist for most of its history, and was granted increasing concessions towards self-governance.
By the 20th century The Domain of Cassier managed its domestic affairs with minimal interference from the metropole. Cassier's politics and interests had also started to diverge from those of Gaullica’s, with the former embracing many of the liberal and democratic institutions of its neighbours. Cassier’s loyalty began to wane in years leading up to the Great War, following events such as the Great Collapse and the rise of functionalism in Gaullica. Shortly following the conclusion of the Great War, Cassier formally declared its independence from Gaullica on 14 October, 1936 and severed all legal ties to Gaullica after over four centuries of rule.
