The Concordian Spring were a series of protests and civil unrest, which began in 26 May 2019. The protests began from two factors, (1) The Alleged cheating in the 2018 Concordian republic referendum and (2) The Annapolis Court Ruling during the Trial of Amadeo Andelanti, where the court ruled in favour of Archadian national, Amadeo Adelanti versus Concordian Peter Franks, who was later sentenced to death following the conviction that Franks committed an attempt on Andelanti's life. Several attempts were made to reduce the sentence but the supreme court denied Franks' lawyers to a second trial.

The unrest began as local protests in Annapolis during the execution of Franks, before quickly spreading nationwide in over 1,000+ cities and in more than 20 countries in support of the Concordian People First Movement. Protests continued throughout 2019. By October, the numbers of protesters grew to an estimated 20 million people worldwide.

While protests in some parts of Concordia were peaceful, demonstrations in cities, such as Seattle and New Laencaster City escalated into riots, looting, and street skirmishes with the police. Many police responded to protests with numerous instances of police brutality. In about 150 cities, curfew was imposed, while in more than 40 states, the National Guard was mobilized due to the continuous mass unrest.

The protests led to the rise of Concordian republicanism and various calls for government change. Legislative proposals on federal and state levels were pushed to combat police and military misconduct, and racism. Various organizations, including the Concordian Democratic Party called for the removal of monuments and name changes to different landmarks and buildings. The call extended beyond Concordia, as the party were calling on their counterparts throughout the Lucis Commonwealth to advocate government change and various amendments. The refusal of the Trump Ministry to comply with the demands resulted in the rise of the Patriots' Armed Front for an Independent Republic or PAFIR, which advocated violence against law and order. Calls to overthrow the King, the Prime Minister, and the Governor-General were frequent.

The attempt extended during the Ontaria May Events of 2020, when a PAFIR member attempted to assassinate the King during a visit to the capital, Ottawa. At about the same time, protesters flocked to the Rubrumian Broder,

The operative was immediately arrested and was held in intensive interrogation, which the member revealed that PAFIR had committed to do the same for the "Big 5" of the Commonwealth Nations, assassinating Heads of State and pushing for Republican and Socialist takeover in the countries. The link between the unrest, PAFIR, the Democratic Party, and several clandestine units from the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance also began to unravel. This led to Prime Minister Trump to declare Martial Law, and various armed skirmishes took place across Concordia between the police, national guard, and the military against the armed rioteers and protesters.

Following the attempt, King Noctis Lucis Caelum, through the Royal prerogative, declared the Concordian People First Movement as a threat to international security, and ordered the arrest of its leaders and members, including radical movements throughout the Commonwealth. Through this, Operation Overthrow was commenced, leading to the arrest of various radical activists worldwide, as as well as the start of the armed skirmishes in Concordia. The last of the skirmishes ended in 10 January, with the arrest of several Democratic Party Members finally bringing an end to the unrest five days later.

Later on, it was revealed that the Imperials had instigated the riots and unrest by engaging in a government proposition with the Concordian Democratic Party to cause mass riots and unrests throughout the Commonwealth and cause internal disunity.
