The Great War, also known as the Dirty War ("Sale Guerre") or even the End of the World, was a global conflict that lasted from 1968 to 1985. However, the dates may change depending of the country. Some enteered the war in 1969 or 1971. Having reached a never before seen scale, it led to the mobilisation of more than 30 million military personnel, making it one of the largest wars ever fought. Every country on Primeria were involved in this conflict, and three alliances were formed: the Entente, wich was composed of several small nations and some powers, the Red Army, composed of four of the most powerful states in the world at the time, and the Conquistadors (wich signed an alliance pact with the army), composed of mid-powers. The war officially began on the 14th November 1968, when the tensions inside the PAC (an alliance composed of stats, mostly in the southern continent) turned into violent confrontations. The Red Army's nation, seeing an opportunity to expand, declared war to the small nations of the Entente, forcing the most powerful states of the Entente to join the war, and protect their allies. The war ended on 30th November 1985, after more than 17 years of fighting, when the capital of Buriname, Bergelet, was captured. However, Ostra accepted to give Burton its independance, only in 1986.
