The Imperial Armed Forces of Ruvelka (Ruvelkan: Ruvelya Birodalmi Fegyveres Erők, literally “Ruvelkan Imperial Armed Forces”) are the national armed forces of the Grand Principality of Ruvelka. It is made up of the Imperial Army, Imperial Air Force, Imperial Navy, Imperial Fusiliers, and the Territorial Defense Force. Established in 1918 following the end of the Ruvelkan Civil War, the Separatist Volunteer Guard was reformed into the Imperial Armed forces and replaced the Socialist Republic’s Red Army.

Since 1938, the Ruvelkan armed forces are organized under the control of the General Staff, commanded by the Chief of the General Staff, and report to the Ministry of Military Affairs. The currently elected monarch of the Grand Principality serves as the commander-in-chief of the military and often delegates their orders through the Ministry and the General Staff.

When founded in 1918, the Armed forces did not include the Territorial Defense Force. Following Ruvelka’s loss during the Siduri War, Ruvelkan grand strategy changed significantly and the TDF was created as part of the military’s new focus on defense-in-depth and comprises much of the military’s reserve personnel. The implementation of the Territorial Defense Force, in tandem with the nation’s new strategies, proved effective during the Zemplen War between 2008 and 2009.
