John Erick Brennan (17 May 1923) is a retired Rubrumian officer and military man who served during the Second Europan War and in the former half of the War of Lorican Aggression. Initially thought to be physically poor for special operations, he was nonetheless recruited by the Special Operations Executive as an infiltrator, being that he was the only one who can speak German fluently, thus being able to infiltrate through Imperial lines. He is the best friend of James Gwyn Rainford.

Following the war, he retained close contacts with his fellow Torch Company members. He opened a Europan Language school in Rubrum following the post-war years. He later gave his services to the Erebonian Secret Service or S7 during the War of Lorican Aggression. He retired in 1963 after his wife, Suzanna Hart became pregnant and settled in Erebonia. Because of his service, he was granted automatic Erebonian citizenship in the same year.

He returned to Rubrum in 1971 after the birth of their third child and reopened his Europan Language school. Currently, he continues to teach despite his advanced age. He is the grandfather of Emrick Brennan.
