MakCare (Makko Oko)

MakCare is a government universal healthcare program in the Empire Of Makko Oko launched on July 5th, 2022 via the enactment of the Life Security Act. MakCare is administered under the Health Services Administration, formed at the time the legislation was enacted. MakCare provides health insurance to all citizens of the nation, in addition to supporting citizens' healthcare abroad.

Minister Paquette's Administration

Limitation of MakCare Enrollments

On December 11th, 2023, Minister of Health Ada Paquette announced new regulations prohibiting any citizen that had a "drug or narcotic indictment" from being able to use MakCare services. The same regulations prohibited coverage of pre-existing conditions for all but the highest MakCare plans, however it excluded those enrolled through the ORSPS from being denied coverage. The regulations were set to take effect in January 2024.

MakCare

MakCare Limited Services Plan

The MakCare Limited Services Plan is the lowest plan and tier of the MakCare government health insurance program. It was launched on July 5th, 2022, the same day as the official inception of the HSA and of the instatement of government health insurance. The MakCare Limited Services Plan offers the following benefits:

• Yearly check-ups and emergency services included with your plan
• Some* vaccination appointments included for free with your plan
• No co-pays and a $4,000 deductible, then pay 40% for any services rendered**
• $1,500 deductible in international healthcare assistance services, with certain exceptions for emergency situations***

Cost: 2,400 Slotto's A Year (200 Slotto's A Month)

* Not all vaccines eligible for free appointments under the MakCare Limited Services Plan. Get in touch with the Ministry Of Health & Wellness for more information.

** Deductible does not apply to the international healthcare assistance services. The $1,500 is considered your deductible when receiving healthcare services internationally. For more information, please contact the Health Services Administration.

MakCare Basic Services Plan

The MakCare Basic Services Plan is the standard plan and tier of the MakCare government health insurance program. It was launched on July 5th, 2022, the same day as the official inception of the HSA and of the instatement of government health insurance. The MakCare Basic Services Plan offers the following benefits:

• Yearly check-ups and emergency services included with your plan
• All vaccination appointments free of charge with your plan
• No co-pays and a $1,000 deductible, then pay only 20% of all services rendered
• $1,000 deductible in international healthcare assistance services, with certain exceptions for emergency situations*
• Dental and vision covered under 20% policy, but entirely free with no deductibles if you pay an extra 100 Slotto's

Cost: 9,000 Slotto's A Year (750 Slotto's A Month)

MakCare Supplemental Animal Friends Plan

The MakCare Supplemental Animal Friends Plan is a supplemental plan and tier of the MakCare government health insurance program. It was launched on July 5th, 2022, the same day as the official inception of the HSA and of the instatement of government health insurance. The MakCare Supplemental Animal Friends Plan offers the following benefits:

• Yearly vet check-ups and emergency services included with your plan
• All vaccination appointments free of charge with your plan
• $500 co-pays and a $700 deductible, then pay only 30% of all services rendered
• No deductibles in international healthcare assistance services, use your insurance plan anywhere it is supported
• Up to 3 pets on your plan for free, with every additional pet costing an additional 500 Slotto's

MakCare Premium Services Plan

The MakCare Premium Services Plan is one of the highest plans and tiers of the MakCare government health insurance program. It was launched on July 6th, 2022, one day after the official inception of the HSA and of the instatement of government health insurance. The MakCare Premium Services Plan offers the following benefits:

• Yearly check-ups and emergency services included with your plan
• All vaccination appointments free of charge with your plan
• $100 co-pays and a $500 deductible, then pay only 15% of all services rendered
• $500 deductible in international healthcare assistance services, then pay only a $250 co-pay for services rendered
• Vision coverage absolutely free with your plan
• Dental coverage covered under 15% policy
• 3 free medical tests a year* with your plan, with every additional test being covered by co-pays and deductibles

Cost: 67,266 Slotto's A Year (5,605 Slotto's A Month)

* The free medical tests do not apply internationally. The deductible and co-pays still apply. You may apply for an exception to this policy by contacting the Health Services Administration.

GovCare

GovCare General Services Plan

The GovCare General Services Plan is the standard plan and tier of MakCare's government employee counterpart, GovCare. MakCare is the government health insurance program while GovCare is a specialized counterpart of MakCare specifically for government employees. It was launched on July 5th, 2022, the same day as the official inception of the HSA and of the instatement of government health insurance. The GovCare General Services Plan offers the following benefits:

• Yearly check-ups and emergency services included with your plan
• All vaccination appointments free of charge with your plan
• $300 co-pays and a $500 deductible, then pay only 15% of all services rendered
• No deductibles in international healthcare assistance services, use your insurance plan anywhere it is supported
• Dental and vision covered under 15% policy

Cost: 12,000 Slotto's A Year (1,000 Slotto's A Month)

GovCare Executive Services Plan

The GovCare Executive Services Plan is one of the highest plans and tiers of MakCare's government employee counterpart, GovCare. MakCare is the government health insurance program while GovCare is a specialized counterpart of MakCare specifically for government employees. It was launched on November 13th, 2022. The GovCare Executive Services Plan offers the following benefits:

• Yearly check-ups and emergency services included with your plan
• All vaccination appointments free of charge with your plan
• No co-pays and a $200 deductible, then pay only 10% of all services rendered
• No deductibles in international healthcare assistance services, use your insurance plan anywhere it is supported
• Vision and dental coverage absolutely free with your plan
• Unlimited free medical tests, including internationally

GovCare Veteran Services Plan

The GovCare Veteran Services Plan is a unique plan and tier of MakCare's government employee counterpart, GovCare. MakCare is the government health insurance program while GovCare is a specialized counterpart of MakCare specifically for government employees. It was launched on November 13th, 2022. The Veteran Services plan is for former/retired government employees. The GovCare Veteran Services Plan offers the following benefits:

• Yearly check-ups and emergency services included with your plan
• All vaccination appointments free of charge with your plan
• $500 co-pays and a $1,000 deductible, then pay only 15% of all services rendered
• A $100 deductible for international healthcare assistance services
• Vision and dental coverage absolutely free with your plan
• Unlimited free medical tests, including internationally

Eligibility

Per regulations established by Minister of Health Ada Paquette, the following must be met to be eligible to enroll in MakCare:

• Must not have any drug or narcotic indictments or convictions
• Must be a citizen or permanent resident

GovCare Eligibility

To be eligible to enroll in GovCare, one must be a Makko Okoan citizen and a current or former national government employee.
