Moddra is a city located in Scitaria, western Syara. Sitting on the eponymous Moddra Peninsula which juts into the Bay of Scitaria, Moddra is the largest city in Scitaria with a population of 1,826,410. It is located approximately 490 kilometers south of the Realm capital of Slocova.

Moddra was officially founded in 120 CE, although the Moddra Peninsula had been inhabited for centuries prior. For most of its existence under the Makedonian Empire and the Arkoennites Moddra was a relatively unimportant coastal village of little note. Moddra did not grow into a significant city until independence from Arkoenn was gained in the 1700s, and the Commonwealth of Scitaria made extensive use of the city as a port for Scitaria's flourishing trade network. Moddra served as one of the forerunners of Syaran industrialization, and saw a major population boom in the 1800s. Rising standards of living, combined with expanding networks of docks and factories led it to be known as Syara's first "industrial port". Moddra saw increased significance following the Unification of Syara, where it was briefly considered as a potential capital for the Republic of Syara before losing out to Zovahr. Moddra was originally a target for the Cacertian Empire during the Divide War, but ultimately escaped the conflict with no major damage. During the Presidency of Sasko Anastasov Moddra became the birth of the expansion of Navy of the Syaran Republic, and later its death during the Scuttling of the Syaran Fleet in 1938 after the Siduri War. During the Broken Years Moddra saw a decrease in economic prosperity, but remained a major seaport for the decaying Republic. During the Refusal War Moddra served as a headquarters for the Wardens. In the post-war years Moddra re-emerged as a major port for the Commonality.

Moddra remains a major economic center for Syara, with extensive port facilities and railyards which transport goods to much of the rest of Syara. Moddra is also home to major fishing industries, tourism ventures, and refineries.
