Operation Soothing Breeze was a special forces operation planned and launched by CECOINAS and the JSCDP, which resulted in the death of the three prominent members of the FRIQ High Council, including Thaddeus Trieu.

It was one of the most successful operations carried out by the JSCDP. Consequently, after hearing of the death of Trieu, Ninh and Huy, the remaining Trieuist pockets in northwestern Quenmin surrendered to the Quenminese Groud Forces.
