The Battle of Tanegashima was a Lorican raid carried out on the isolated Nihhonese island of Tanegashima. Tanegashima is known for its vital importance being that it is a major island with an airfield that has a potential use for a possible invasion of the Nihhonese Home Islands. The Lorican plan was to seize control of the island, create a joint rule with the Nanja Republic on the island and use it to springboard a potential invasion of Nihhon-koku. However, the immediate response by the Nihhon-koku Self Defence Force and the Lucis Armed Forces prevented the complete takeover of the island.
