The Orca class is a Dnieguan SSGN submarine, designed for land and sea strike operations. It is currently operated by Dniegua First entering service in the early 2000s, the Orca represents the latest in nuclear powered cruise missile submarines from Dniegua. Currently, plans exist to replace the sub with a more modern, sailless design SSGN starting in 2020; though budget restrictions may delay this for several years. The Orca is unique in utilizing pump-jet propulsion with an X-Shaped stern controlling surface, reducing noise nearly sixty times more than previous counterparts.
