The RT15 GPSR or known by its designation as Rainford-Theimer 15 General Purpose Sniper Rifle is a long range multi-purpose sniper rifle that was first developed in 2006 and was produced in 2010. The project was mostly inspired by the need of a sniper rifle that can serve both as an Anti-Materiel and as a Primary Marksman role. The idea largely came from then-General Kiriya Kitagawa, who approached Rainford Group on the development. Later on, the purpose of developing such a weapon attracted interest from Theimer Works and RSAF Elfield who wanted to pursue the development of the weapon.
The result was the RT15 GPSR. The rifle can use both .50 Caliber and .338 Magnum rounds, fulfilling the need of a multi-purpose sniper rifle.
