Shiori Akiyama-Sugiyama (21 June 1992) is a Nihhonese soldier and a part-time singer in the Nihhon-koku Self Defence Forces. She is one of the Forces Sweethearts and served during the Imperial Crisis, mostly delegated to communications duties.
Early Life
Shiori was born on Kyoto to Reiko Akiyama and Suzuki Akiyama. Her parents were strict, frequently setting early curfews and limiting her cell phone access. She had a poor relationship with her father to the point that he refused to allow her to do various Harajuku activities, especially cosplaying. She would often receive beatings from her father because of this. Her mother was much more supportive and loving to her, leading her to have her mother to be the main figure of her life. She finished her studies at Kyoto Polytechnic University under pressure from her father.
Deep Seclusion and Adolescent Violence
From 2005 to 2011, She stayed in a deep seclusion after her college graduation because of her father retaining his control and refusing to grant her freedom. This caused her to be sadistic, arrogant and overconfident in her nature, even to the point that she would hurt other people's feelings. She refused any audience with any person, further secluding her from outside interaction. After her father's death in 2009, Her violent nature didn't end. Her seclusion ended when the friend of her only friend, Tatsumi Sugiyama entered her life. Tatsumi knew who Shiori was and just knew what he could do to free her from her seclusion and violent nature. At the start, She would slap Tatsumi and to the point of throwing hot water on his body. Tatsumi took almost a year and a half to control her well-being. She regained her self-control 6 months before she fully recovered. The 6 months that followed were more focused on recovering on her inner self.
After she had recovered, Tatsumi left her but She decided to find and pursue the man who had helped her recover. She didn't have any clue where Tatsumi was until she enlisted in the army. She enlisted in the Nihhon-koku Self Defence Forces in 2014.

Personal Life
Her childhood and adolescence were marked with violent beatings she received from her father, traumatizing her and secluding her from the outside for 6 years. She was arrogant, sadistic and violent during these years until she recovered later with the help of Tatsumi.
After she recovered, She became more cheerful, loving and caring for others whilst retaining her sense of fashion. She has a tendency to become childish at times as well as cosplaying and enjoying anime. Being an Otaku, She has collected numerous figma's and memorabilia's from the anime that she watches. She stated that her favorite manga series was Pure Engagement. She is currently in a relationship with Tatsumi Sugiyama and has stated that she never wants to part from him. Tatsumi also provided the male voice overs for the male lines in Shiori's songs.
In the military, She is labelled as a Forces Sweetheart, having sang many songs for troops during the Imperial Crisis. She recorded four songs, Bad Romance and Paparazzi (She covered Monster under the re-release of her Paparazzi album). She recorded her last song, Telephone in 2018. Her musical style has been to describe 'an immense emotional intelligence behind something'. Her two songs were mostly associated with sexual interests, love, desire and identity. Shiori, in an interview about her last song was that her inspiration was her own tragic childhood and adolescent experience.
"It's very, very tragic and filled with horrors up to that point that I got to find myself with 'his' (Tatsumi) help and that I am able to do something like this and Bad Romance and I never regretted it. This is just one of those points that I have to thank my father for but I know inside me that He wouldn't like either of these if He was still alive."
Shiori was originally an Angelican in her childhood and adolescent years but with her friend's and Tatsumi's help, She converted to Roman Catholicism, The religion of Tatsumi in 2013.
Since slowly retiring from entertainment with Tatsumi in 2019, The two have now hosted their own online cooking show at the Alto Reel website titled The Tatsumi and Shiori Cooking Show That is Totally Not Filled With Sexual Content. They have currently have gathered 25,000. subscribers. She and Tatsumi starred for a two-movie comeback for the 2020 psychological horror film, Spira Intus and Mamma Mia! in 2022.
