Vivienne Toussaint (born August 23, 1971) is a Zamastanian lawyer and politician serving as the Senator for Landeda's 2nd district since 2016. A member of the Progressive Party, she served in the provincial legislature from 2001 to 2006 and was the Prosecuting Attorney of Elmhill from 2006 to 2015. Toussaint was born and raised in Salland, Tregueux. She is a graduate of Donato Hills Central High School, Tregueux University, and the Tregueux Provincial University College of Law, which at the time was the Celatla College of Law. She ran unsuccessfully for the province's lower legislature in the 1990s before being elected in 2001. In 2006, she turned down the chance for reelection to focus on her law career. In 2013, Toussaint gained national attention for a speech during a debate on abortion in which she shared her experience of being sexually assaulted. For nine years, she was the lead prosecutor for the city of Elmhill.
Toussaint was elected to the Congressional Hall as a senator for her district in 2016. As a senator, she has focused on healthcare and infrastructure legislation, as well as legislation effecting social issues like LGBT rights and abortion. Since January 2021, Toussaint has served as one of the vice chairs of the Progressive Party.
