The Wyiil (pronounced y'-ill) are anarchistic marauders active in the Tunumo Sector of the Outer Band and the Kibos Arm of the Talin Galaxy. They occupy a territory of space at the crossroads of the galactic map that distinguishes the trifecta boundary of the Outer Band, Tampina Arm, and Kibos Arm, which includes the planets Oreeasre, Catreer, Fa'Vaay. Members of the Wyiil consist of various sentient species, but their strict code of wearing masks and full-body armor dissuades any personal identity in species, instead identity is found only in their crews.

The Wyiil operate by a code of taking what they want, and killing those that stand in their way. They view themselves as a sort of counterculture that oppose the expanding Galactic Union, who they believe are encroaching on Wyiil 'sport' territory as well as robbing people of their freedom. They see themselves as riders of a "storm," and to that end use weather-related terminology in their structure and ranks. The Wyiil seek to take whatever they want and destroy whatever they could not own; the thousands of pirates were united in their desire to take, kill, and eat. As such, they will perform various criminal actions, including acting as thieves, raiders, kidnappers, and murderers, and work anywhere they can. Hiding their faces behind masks, the Wyiil actively want the galaxy to see them as monsters and relish the destruction, including the murders, they leave in their wake.
