Rough outline

• In 1788 at the height of the political chaos of the Weranian Republic, Estmere with the support of Rudolphine loyalists performs a pre-emptive invasion of the republic. This spirals into a conflict that would last from 1788 to 1794.
  • During the first conflict Werania would invade the continental holdings of Scovern and Azmara.
  • The anti-republican coalition initially pushes deep into Werania, but eventually the tide turns and Werania defeats the alliance.
  • Azmara is made into a brother republic, as is Borland. Estmere becomes a client state economically and politically tied to Werania albeit remaining a monarchy.
• A second war occurs a year later, from 1795 to 1797 between Werania and an alliance of Gaullica and Kirenia.
  • The second war sees Kirenia defeated, a large amount of territory annexed and Kirenia made into a client kingdom.
  • During the war the performance of the brother republics are deemed as poor and they are directly annexed into Werania.
  • Estmere is also seen as a flaky ally and in 1798 Werania with the support of Estmerish republicans deposes the monarchy and installs a republican regime.
  • Because Gaullica is distracted fighting Etruria, Werania doesn't bother really fighting them properly. However its likely they create an independent Hennehouwe in 1797 (pending approval from Lyon).
• Paranoia in 1800 leads to Werania invading Soravia, pushing through its centre. However sensing weakness Kirenia throws its support against Werania causing the war effort to stumble and Gaullica, Soravia, Kirenia and Estmerish royalists to successfully destroy the republic by 1802.
