Erebus, officially the Erebus Special Administrative District, is the fourth-most populous city and the capital city of the Antarctic Circle States. Located on A.C.S.'s Eastern Coast, Erebus is the Southern-most capital city in the world, only a few thousand kilometers away from the geographic South Pole. Residents of the city are known as "Erebusians". As of June 2022, Erebus's estimated metropolitan population was 1,524,000, meaning the city is home to approximately 3.7% of the nation's population. The city is often referred to by its nickname, the 'Ice Capital'.

Established in 1898, the Royal Erebus Institute of Technology was A.C.S.'s first university and is regarded as one of the world's leading research institutes.
