Reisi Kurasawa (18 August 1987) is a Niflheimian soldier and television presenter currently serving in the Lucis Armed Forces. He is perhaps known for his work at LBC News and has been one of the people associated with its flagship military broadcast, AF News Patrol. He started his first broadcast at the age of 16, being the youngest to do so in the history of broadcasting. He was still a senior high school student and his broadcast allowed him to be enrolled at St. Miyamoto University under its Journalism program and graduated by the age of 19.

Early Life

Reisi was born on August 18, X913 (1987) to Brigadier Kenji Kurasawa and Geraldine Kunieda, a female correspondent. Reisi first saw his mother's broadcast at the age of 5 and his mother always takes him whenever she performs her tasks. This started Reisi's interest in broadcasting and journalism. In his high school years, He was a president of the Radio Broadcasting club and has been responsible for playing various music over the school's waves. During his high school life, He is close friends with future fellow officers Aria Suzukaze and Darzana Magbaredge.

He first met his mentor, Admiral Karl Kretschmann when the he spoke to him after Kretschmann was invited to speak at a seminar. Kretschmann was curious about the boy and saw his interest for broadcasting and journalism. He, however, warned Reisi that being a journalist was a dangerous job, especially being a war correspondent. Reisi, however, told him that he will do whatever it takes to achieve his dream. With that, Kretschmann agreed to be Reisi's mentor.

Journalism Career

AF News Patrol

When Reisi was 16 years old, His mentor, Karl Kretschmann announced his leave from the news broadcast of AF News Patrol. Kretschmann had been anchoring from 1985 to 2003 and with him leaving, The broadcast was on the verge of cancellation. He immediately picked the 16 year old to succeed him. Reisi was still a bit inexperienced but had been trained several times by the latter. This made Kretschmann extend his stay on the broadcast until Reisi could carry it alone, which he did.

By October, Reisi was the sole anchor of AF News Patrol, becoming the youngest solo anchor in the history at the age of 16. Reisi, at first was criticized because he was simply too young to deliver news. However, he was also praised for being able to broadcast 'professionally and classy'. This allowed him to receive a scholarship for St. Miyamoto University. He graduated at the age of 19.

On 2004, Reisi met Sera Yuzakawa, another student of Kretschmann. Sera was 3 years younger than Reisi and the two were able to get to know each other. When Sera made her first broadcast, Kretschmann returned to supervise her until she could manage it alone. She received a journalist's scholarship that made her broadcast on AF News Patrol as her attainment along with pre-accounting and history. She agreed but made her first true broadcast by November 2004. By December 2004, Reisi and Sera became the two presenters of AF News Patrol and paved way for the "Era of Young Broadcasting"

His partnership with Sera continued well until the two developed feelings and became lovers. In September 15, 2011, Reisi and Sera announced their engagement and were married at the set of AF News Patrol on October 20, 2012 after the broadcast.
