2002 Garetolia Film Festival

The 2002 Garetolian Film Festival was the fourth showing of the Garetolian Film Festival. It was held from 19 December 2002 to 25 December 2002. Like every other event of the type, it featured 13 films. The prize for Best Comedy was awarded to Feudal Attempts, the prize for Best Action was awarded to The Pact, the prize for Best Horror was awarded to Case, and the prize for Best Film was given to Feudal Attempts. It was hosted by Martin Holt.

Porkupine	Comedy film about a man and his business that try to pass off porcupine meat as pork. Their antics are revealed when someone is cut in the mouth by a quill stuck in the meat.
Overseas Arrival	Romantic drama film about the arrival of two independent stowaways that discover each other's presence and fall in love with each other.
Feudal Attempts	Comedy film that follows a township's attempts to break away from Garetolia and become a feudalistic monarchy; however, they cannot choose who they want as their monarch.	Best Comedy Best Film
Slide Step	A comedy-drama that focuses on a man who is a terrible dancer and can't attract women. He learns a new dance called the slide step and quickly becomes the life of the party.
The Pact	Action-drama about an organized crime unit whose "pact of trust" falls apart after one of the members's name is revealed. Rumored to have been loosely inspired by Reservoir Dogs.	Best Action
Case	Horror film about a police case that hasn't been opened in 12 years due to the police officers woking on it having gone missing. One man curiously reopens the case file and strange, paranormal events occur.	Best Horror
Suspension	A historical drama about the construction of the Lod'oka Suspension Bridge.
Verity	Romantic drama the follows the story of Verity, a 20-year old college sophomore who lies her way into a high-paying job. When her secrets are finally exposed, she keeps her job due to her relationship with her boss.
Quartz	A comedy about a young boy who thinks he's discovered a quartz mine in his backyard after finding a cheap earring. He surreptitiously steals his friend's parents garden tools only to find there is no quartz mine and his parents upset with his antics.
Breakdown	Drama film set in a dystopian future in which schools are structured like governments. A school rally turns into a student riot forcing the breakdown of the school's structure.
