The 2006 Garetolian Film Festival was the eighth showing of the Garetolian Film Festival. It was held from 19 December to 25 December in 2006. As with every other Garetolian film festival, it featured 13 films. The prize for Best Comedy was awarded to Forever Temporary, the prize for Best Action was awarded to Uletransit, the prize for Best Horror was awarded to Crosshatch, and Uletransit was named the Best Film. It was hosted by Olmea. The 2006 showing was the first of the Garetolian Film Festivals that took place at an outdoor venue.
