2001 Garetolia Film Festival

The 2001 Garetolian Film Festival was the third showing of the Garetolian Film Festival. It was held from 19 December 2001 to 25 December 2001. Like every other event of the type, it featured 13 films. The prize for Best Comedy was awarded to Fraude, the prize for Best Action was awarded to Domosi, the prize for Best Horror was awarded to The Flight That Wouldn't End, and the prize for Best Film was given to Fraude. It was hosted by Jeremy Kolton; the event was originally planned to be Martin Sellers, but the invitation was withdrawn following a domestic violence case involving Sellers and his wife, Molina Sellers.

Internet Clone	A drama film about a man who discovers an online person who shares the exact same characteristics as him.
The Flight That Wouldn't End	A horror film about a flight that is taking longer than usual; when the main character, one of the passengers, asks the flight attendant about it, paranormal activities ensue.	Best Horror
Faceless	A dark film about a man whose appearance causes him trouble while getting women. In order to hide this, the man wears a bag over his head and pretends to be faceless.
The Race For a Seat	A comedy-drama following the independent tales of two schoolchildren attending the same school. As they both want to sit next to their respective friends, with one seat in between the two, they both claim it and try to sit down.
Fierce Competition	A drama about a man whose attempts to run for Prime Minister are met with an arduous opposition.
'Eka	A historical drama film about the beginnings of Ule'eka's existence as a city.
Domosi	An action-drama about a man's efforts to be with the woman of his dreams, named Domosi, who lives on the other side of the planet.	Best Action
Red, White, and Blue Jeans	A comedy about a Garetolian man whose dream to become an American is finally fulfilled.
Matchstick	A romantic comedy about a couple's love, which they claim "burns hotter than a matchstick".
The Proverb	A comedy-drama following the day-to-day life of a man whose life has apparently been posessed.
