Prince Donus of Paloton (Flavius Claudius Nero Donus Iasonis Isaurus; b. 23 June 1988) is a Latin nobleman of the Claudii dynasty and a Lihnidosi prince.

Early life and education

Prince Donus was born on 23 June 1988 at Corybantes Rodinos Hospital, in Corcus, Lihnidos. He is the third child and only son of Philip Claudius and Princess Alexandra, Duchess of Paloton, and was baptized into the Fabrian Catholic Church on 19 September 1988, at the private chapel of Palatium Supranio.

Donus was educated at {primary school}, in Lihnidos, though he attended Academia Sanctus Paul-Taphioia, a Latin boarding school near the Lihnidosi border, known for its rigorous curriculum. He enrolled at University of Naxegion at the age of 17, though dropped out after his first semester due to {thing}. He traveled to Belfras in early 2006, residing in a Thessalona-based townhouse for the better part of a year. While residing in Belfras, Donus also visited Mutul and Sante Reze. In 2007, he returned to Belisaria, and traveled throughout the continent, as far as Drevstran, and even a stay in Ghant during September 2007. For Christmas 2007, he visited Sarpeta, Sydalon, and later Yerushalayim.

In fall 2009, Donus enrolled in university once again, this time at Castellum College, Castellum. While at Castellum College, Donus's grades suffered due to what he cites was "personal disinterest" in schooling. By the end of his first full year at Castellum College, Donus took a term off, and returned to his studies in January 2011, with a focus on International Management. While at Castellum he was often seen around other nobles or princes, and a social circle including his second cousin Princess Maria of Latium, Melisende, Princess of Petra, Arruns Tarquinius, Cyriacus Pollius, Antonia Antistia, among others.

Donus graduated with a degree in International Management in 2014.

Personal life

Donus is an avid football fan; as a supporter of FC Imperialis Ianiculum, he holds season tickets and often travels to games throughout Latium and the world. He is reportedly close friends with a number of the team's players. Despite being raised in the Fabrian Church, Donus has said that he is not very religious, and only attends services "once every month or so."

Donus is fluent in Latin and Hellenic, and conversational in Gariman.

Courtships

Prior to his marriage, Donus was involved in a number of high profile courtships, most notably with Princess Madeline of Sydalon, and Princess Stephania of Aretias. Though he has acknowledged relationships before, his first courtship involved Princess Madeline of Sydalon, daughter of King Jordan IX of Sydalon. The pair began courting in 2007 after Donus visited Sarpeta for a Christmas celebration. Following a brief visit to neighboring Yisrael, Donus returned to Sydalon and was reported as a personal guest of Madeline at the Royal New Year's celebration. He remained in Sydalon for two weeks and upon his return confirmed rumors that he and Madeline were in a relationship. By summer 2008, it was reported that Donus and Madeline were engaged, but their relationship ended in May 2009.

Marriage

Donus and Cecilia privately began courting in March 2012, but did announce a relationship until July that same year after they were spotted together at the annual Ludi Circenses. They became engaged in July 2015 and were married on 5 September 2015, in a private ceremony, at the Basilica of Saint Maria, in Castellum. In addition to a Castellum-based townhouse, Donus and Cecilia maintain a homes near Olympia, Latium, in Arcadia, Lihinidos, and a townhouse in Ghish.

Their first child, Sophia, was born on 6 May 2014. This was followed by a second child, Michael, born on 22 February 2017. In December 2019, Donus and Cecilia announced they were expecting their third child. On 4 June 2022, Philippa, their third child and second daughter was born.
