The Allied Joint Special Operations Task Force 58 - Nicator, shorthand names Task Force 58 and Task Force Nicator, was a military task force comprised of special operations units from the five major countries of the Allied High Council, also nicknamed the Neocon Five: Quenmin, Joyonghea, Bethausia, Concordia and the Soryu and the Holy Trabian Empire.Their primary objectives were to retrieve all of the Royal Artifacts of the Seleucid Empire and its related manuscripts and documents, and eliminate opposing units tasked with the same goal, prominently the 16th SS Paranormal Regiment Seleucia, Task Force 141 and Task Force 219, in order for the Council to be advantageous during the Chalcedonic War and the Neocon War. Scientists, hackers, and archaeologists were also employed in the Task Force for assistance in achieving these goals. During the conflicts, they were able to secure a number of artifacts and weapons, which made Nicator as the most powerful task force at the height of Neocon influence during the Neocon War.

Their callsign originates from the Seleucid king Seleucus III Nicator.

History

During the start of the Chalcedonic War, word reached the intelligence agencies of the Neocon Five that the East Europans managed to discover the manuscripts and artifacts of the Seal, Amulet and Makhaira of Cassander Tryphon, and the Valkyrian Spear of Eurycleia Soteira. Consequently, the governments of the Neocon Five sent memorandums to their respective military commands that commissioned them to form an international special operations force to research and retrieve the discovered artifacts and manuscripts. Another significant factor that prompted the creation of the special task force was the Heimdallr Council also eying the artifacts, which roused suspicions among the neoconservative governments of their attempted countermeasure in using them against them, despite the Council in reality retrieving those of lesser power termed the "Common Artifacts."

Chalcedonic War

Neocon War

At the peak of the Neocons influence during the Neocon War, TF Nicator became the most powerful task force in existence, thanks in part with its use of Seleucid artifacts, possession of highly advanced equipment, and having more personnel, which rendered its primary adversary, TF 141 obsolete and outnumbered. Despite TF Nicator coming to blows with its adversary several times, they would never be able to arrest nor destroy the unit as its commanders had intended to do. However, Nicator came close to wiping them out for good during Mission Breaking Point, which drove TF 141 to its limit and near annihilation. Despite several plans to attempt to raid and level Fort Daidoji Kitagawa to wipe them out for good, Nicator's commanders cancelled the plan in fear of Marshal Kiriya Kitagawa, TF 141's overall commander launching several reprisals to weaken and wipe out TF Nicator. Instead, continuous raids took place across Scandinavia in a bid to slow or weaken the Heimdallr War Effort. However, thanks in part to Marshal Kitagawa's counteroperations, Nicator had failed to destroy the Heimdallr War Effort.

By 2039, Marshal Kitagawa resigned as the overall Heimdallr Task Forces commander, which gave the opportunity for Nicator to intensify their raids at key locations throughout the Heimdallr nations. Although they would prove to be of little to no effect, as the tide of the war now favoured Heimdallr and that defeat was beginning to be inevitable for the Neocons.

In the same year, Nicator slowly began weaken despite the Neocons obtaining the Kataibatic Tablet and plunging Eordis in a cataclysm known as the Kataibatic Event. This caused several Nicator personnel to be disillusioned with the war. As a result, a handful of Nicator personnel defected to Heimdallr but were instead met with arrests upon their arrival in Erebonia. Although the defectors gave valuable information, Brigadier Yamato Kitagawa found them implicit with the damage done to Erebonia's infrastructures and civilian populace and as a result, did not allow granting immunity towards its defectors, and that the defectors would also stand trial regardless of their crime.

During Operation Dawnlight, Nicator would see its final action against TF 141. Attempting to interfere at the Showdown at Karakul Lake, General Darius Tillman eyed to use Nicator as means of winning over the Tryphonic Council. Unexpectedly, TF 141 arrived to prevent such action. Tillman became overconfident upon hearing that the younger Kitagawa now leads the Heimdallr Task Force but still remained vigilant. He tried to encircle the Heimdallr Task Force by entrapping them, allowing him to wipe them out for good, but instead, Kitagawa lured Nicator to positions that they least expected them to be, prompting Nicator's forces to spread out too thinly just enough for the younger Kitagawa to launch a two-pronged attack along the Karakul-Dhornod Corridor. By the time the offensive came, it was to be too late for Nicator to regain the advantage. By the 30th of October, Tillman was captured by TF141 operatives. The remainder of Nicator operatives surrendered by the following day, dissolving TF Nicator.
