Operation Dawnlight (21 October - 31 October 2040) was the final major operation undertaken by the Heimdallr Task Forces against the Deseleni loyalists of Task Force Nicator. It took place simultaneously with the Showdown at Karakul Lake. It was planned by Brigadier Yamato Kitagawa in order to prevent TF Nicator from interfering with the battle taking place in the latter. This also pitted some of the best troops of Heimdallr Task Forces against TF Nicator, the Neocon Forces' primary Task Force in the war.

The skirmishes and firefights between the two sides took place at 4 towns just near at Karakul Lake. Led by Brigadier Kitagawa in the field, the Heimdallr Task Forces faced a numerically superior but slightly downsized Task Force who remained loyal to the Neocon cause. In the end, the Heimdallr Task Forces, with strong preparations and intel provided by the defectors from TF Nicator, were able to subjugate the remaining TF Nicator members, placing all of its members under arrest, including General Darius Tillman, who tried to flee at the last scene of the firefight.

Following the operation, the Heimdallr Task Forces continued to operate in the area until 1 November 2040, when the Neocon War finally ended. The Heimdallr Task Forces would not see a major engagement again until the Ziyaadist Uprising.
