Ares Guild or commonly known as ARES is the paramilitary wing of the Oriental organization Omega. Currently led by Anton Korchagin, ARES is the largest and best-equipped paramilitary group operating within Orientia today.

Despite being a paramilitary group, ARES itself by nature is no different than a guild for awakeneds. Created in 2046, ARES operates in a similar sense to an army, but has its own funding system by selling their services as a private military company for corporations wishing to explore dimensional rifts. It recruits potential awakeneds across Orientia (and neighbouring countries), train them to achieve certain ranks and assign them into squads. It also participates in guild battles as a normal guild would do. ARES has four elite squads instead of just one; each squad consist of at least eight A-rank awakeneds and two S-rank awakened as leaders.

ARES is the paramilitary wing of the Oriental organization Omega, operating primarily in Orientia, but often takes missions to permit in other countries and no-go zones as well. It is currently led by Anton Korchagin, one of the Second Order member of Omega. ARES is named after Ares, a prominent figure in Greek mythology that is known for being the "God of War".

History

Background

Following the transformation of the Rising Dawn faction into Omega as part of the Treaty of Jeddah in 2043, the First Orders of Omega took the initiative to make a subsidiary that'd serve as a way to fund the organization while at the same time exterminate any imminent multiversal threats. Anton Korchagin, a Second Order of Omega was chosen as the chairman for the company in 2044.

It initially operated purely as a private military company by the name of Bluesky Company, which, was contracted by the Oriental government (lobbied by Omega) to guard the first human exploration team in Operation Winter Wonderland, to which successfully brought back all team members alive, and then contracted by African Union to launch an assault against unidentified lifeforms in Okavango Delta. Two years later, it was rebranded as "Ares" and reformed its organizational structure in order to recruit more awakeneds and join the global guild battle.
