Clane First (Ghaillish: Claonadh ar Dtús) is a regionalist political party that operates in the Caldish Highlands. The party maintains a conservative platform and is considered to be a centre-right to right wing party. It supports the decentralisation of governmental power from the national government to local authorities. The party is opposed to immigration and supports significantly reducing the number of foreign nationals allowed to reside in Caldia. The party supports the preservation of traditional values and the Highland way of life.
The party was founded in 1998. It was a minor party and struggled to gain elected representation. In 2017, two councilors members of the Free Market Party defected and joined the Highland Alliance. The party defended those seats in the 2020 county elections.
The party has one councilor in County Ballina and another in County Taois. It has elected municipal representatives as well, the largest delegation is on the Benbaun Council.
