The Zanarkian and New Akiba Army Corps (ZANAC) is an army formation based in Zanarkand and New Akiba. Formed in 1909 as a contingency against Ingelmia and other threats to Oceania, it is the oldest continuing Army Corps, having over 110 years of service since 1909. It is best remembered during its first action during the Siege of Thanh Bac during the First Europan War. The army corps was enlarged during the Second Europan War and units were evenly divided on several theatres of war. Majority of its participation was in the Europan Theatre Campaign, Middle East Campaign, Asianna and the Pacific Campaign, and the Joyonghean Campaign. It also served during the War of Lorican Aggression and the Imperial Crisis.

Historians have described the ZANAC forces as one of the best (if not the best) army corps in the world. Owing to strict discipline, skill, and training, the reputation of the ZANAC forces remains untarnished. Having faced numerous adversaries in the past, they gained both respect and hatred from their enemies.
