The Chairperson of the State Presidium of Auspicious Republic of Xiaodong (Xiaodongese: 国家常务委员会的晓东吉祥共和国主席; Guójiā chángwù wěiyuánhuì de Xiǎodōng jíxiáng gònghéguó zhǔxí) is the head of state of Xiaodong, as well as being the official chair of the State Presidium, the unicameral legislature of Xiaodong. The title is often called the State Chairman (主席; Zhǔxí) internationally, or more rarely President in some English language translations.
The State Chairman is officially a ceremonial role, with most executive power being in the hands of the First Minister of Xiaodong. The State Chairman serves as commander-in-chief of the Xiaodongese Defence Forces, appoints the First Minister, opens and dissolves the State Presidium and chairs the State Presidium. Since 1946, State Chairman are elected by the State Presidium for five year terms that is renewable once - between 1934 to 1959 there were no term limits. In the case of the State Chairmanship being vacant the Presiding Officer of the State Presidium is appointed acting State Chairman until a new one is elected.
The current State Chairman is Yuan Xiannian who was elected in October 2014.

Living former State Chairman
As of 2019 there are three living former State Chairman. The last State Chairman to die was Wang Surong in 1998, who served from 1979-1984 whilst the last acting state chairman to die was Li Dejiang who served from 1988-1989.
