Robert James Sorley-MacIconnich (Ghaillish: Roibeárd Séamus Somhairle agus Mac Connach; born 24 December 1993) is the spouse of King Kenneth IV of Caldia and the father of the heir designate, Princess Mary Victoria.
Since his marriage, Robert has become an active member of the Royal Household. He was made Duke of Clane in January 2017 by the his husband. The Royal Couple had their first child through surrogacy in April of 2017.
Early life and education
Robert James Sorley was born in Scariff in County Clane on 24 December 1991 to Brendan Sorley and Máiréad Ní Chuaig. His father was a professional accountant and his mother a charity worker.
He has one older sister and one younger brother. His sister, Niamh Sorley, is a well-known chef. His brother, Sorley, is a personal trainer and a veteran of the Caldish Army.
For his lower education, he attended state schools in Dunmore, an affluent suburb of Scariff located in County Clane.
Prior to his marriage, he studied international relations alongside the king at the University of Spálgleann.
