The Société des chemins de fer gagienne, abbreviated as SCG (Gagian for "Gagian Railroad Society") is Gagium's national state-owned railway company. Founded in 1929, it operates a majority of the country's national rail traffic, including the TGV, on Gagium's high-speed rail network. SCG's primary functions include the operation of railway services for passengers and freight, as well as maintenance and signaling of rail infrastructure. SNG's operated railway network consists of about TBDTHOUSAND km (TBDTHOUSAND mi) of route, of which TBDTHOUSAND km (TBDTHOUSAND mi) are high-speed lines and TBDTHOUSAND km (TBDTHOUSAND mi) electrified. About 27,000 trains are operated daily.
