The 2023 Soravian presidential election is scheduled to begin on October 21, 2023, with an additional second round on November 4, 2023 if no candidate receives more than half of the votes in the first round. The winner of the election is scheduled to be inaugurated on December 4, 2023.
Soravia is widely regarded as an authoritarian state where democratic freedoms are limited. Alexei Kadnikov is the candidate for the ruling Patriots' Front.[1] Boris Yudin is expected to be the main opposition candidate, running for the united opposition party United for the Fatherland (Yedbat)[2], while other opposition candidates include Damian Saltanov, Artem Fekhlachev, and Natalya Zubareva.
Nearly all of Soravia's main media outlets and political figures have endorsed Kadnikov, whilst some traditional opposition figures have withdrawn their candidacy to endorse Yudin and Yedbat. The election is expected to be one of the tightest in recent times, after The Continental reported that the Soravian opposition were polling at unprecedented highs.[3]

Fekhlachov is a Soravian businessman and television personality who founded and has led Voskreshaty–New National Revival since 2012. He was first elected to political office in 2016 as a member of the Chikanshiva City Rada. In 2021 he left his position to pursue a presidential candidacy, which his party nominated him for in January 2023. Ideologically, Fekhlachov has variously been described as a right-wing populist, neo-functionalist, corporatist and a minarchist, and his party's appearance bares notable similarities to the former Soravian Nationalist and Revivalist Party. | August 10, 2023 | |

Kadnikov is the son of the Soravian oligarch Klavdiy Kadnikov, who owned SMEC before it was sold to Zakhaz in the 1980s.
