Lyrics

Cavalan original English translation

Oh, notre pavillon,
Oh, notre pavillon.
Coloré par le sang des martyrs;
Flottant fièrement dans le monde,
Nous ferons voler notre bannière.

Chœur:

Il survole nos jeunes forces,
Quand tout espoir semble perdue.
Le pavillon flotte, la forme claire,
Il nous donne l'espoir de concorde.

Du Mont Sudist au lac Pinta,
Tous sous le fanion de nos amis.
Le pavillon flotte, la forme claire,
Il nous donne l'espoir de concorde.

La tête haute dans le ciel,
On jure de le porter à vie.
Quand foes arrive, les noirs vient.
Ce sera notre hymne départ.

Il survole nos jeunes forces,
Quand tout espoir semble perdue.

Oh, flag of ours,
Oh, flag of ours.
Coloured by our martyred blood;
Flying proudly across the sky,
We’ll keep our standard flying high.

Chorus:

It waves above our new-born might,
When all hope seems, lost and blight.
The banner beams, the patterns plain,
It gives us hope of peace at last.

From Mount Sudist to Pinta lake,
All under our people's flag.
The banner beams, the patterns plain,
It gives us hope of peace at last.

With heads up high in the sky,
We swear to bear it till we die.
When darkness come and foes arrive,
This song shall be our parting rhyme.

It waves above our new-born might,
When all hope seems, lost and blight.
