Princess Emilia of Sydalon (Emilia Héloïse Olympe Palmyre; 20 January 2000) is a Sydalene princess and the youngest child of King Jordan IX and his second wife Héloïse Baudelaire. She is twenty-third in the line of succession to the Sydalene throne.

Early life

Princess Emilia was born on 20 January 2000 at St Philip National Hospital in Ostracine. She became the first member of the Sydalene Royal Family to be born in a hospital. Her birth was announced the following day on RXT during a nationwide broadcast. She was the first and only child of King Jordan IX to be born during his reign.

She was baptised at Cathedral of the Holy Sepulchre by Patriarch of Sydalon Belad Abdeshmun on 12 March 2000 using water from the Yarden River. Her godparents are Desiderius, Prince of Petra (her elder half-brother); and [Héloïse sibling?]. She was given the middle name Olympe upon her baptism. Throughout her childhood, Emilia primarily resided at Palis de Aultavilla, in Ostracine, though was largely kept out of the public eye.

Education

Emilia was among the first members of the Sydalene royal family to attend formal schooling. Like her elder full brother, Alfonse, Emilia attended Lyceu ta'Aradia and later Lyceu St Gabrijel. She earned her baccalauréat from Lyceu St Gabrijel in spring 2018.

The Royal Household announced that Emilia earned a mandatory service exemption, allowing her to forgo her expected military service after completing secondary school. In July 2018, it was announced that Emilia was enrolled at Saint Francis College of the Arts, located near Saint-Nazaire, Vannois. Emilia and her mother, Dowager Queen Héloïse arrived at Château de Largoët-aux-Miroirs, near Saint-Nazaire, leading to speculation of betrothal talks between Emilia and either Prince Franck of Courçon or Prince Robert of Courçon.

Since beginning her education at Saint Francis in fall 2018, Emilia has resided at Château de Largoët-aux-Miroir, which will be her primary residence during the school year.

Personal life

Emilia's personal life has largely been kept out of the public eye at her father's request. In 2018, it was speculated that a betrothal agreement between Emilia and either Prince Franck or Prince Robert of Courçon was reached, though no comment from either the Sydalene Royal Household or Household of the Duke of Courçon has been made. Since moving to Vannois for her tertiary education, Emilia has frequently been spotted with Princess Valérie of Courçon and Prince Robert of Courçon.
