the problems was a 2002 Garetolian film based off the 1939 French silent film Les Problèmes that starred Jean Motoire and Pierre d'Amonise. The film follows the tale of Alfonso Morietti, a Sicilian mob boss that ascends to the throne of Muzettia, a small island nation in the Mediterranean after a disaster regarding the Royal Family.

The film premiered at the Garetolia Film Festival and placed second for best film at the event. Because of the lack of a drama award at the time, the film did not win any other awards.

Plot

The film begins with the news of the death of the Crown Prince of Muzettia while in Athens. As a result, the funeral and mourning must be held there according to the tradition of the Muzettian monarchy. As the family is travelling, their plane is caught in an electrical storm and disappears. As news coverage reports on the incident, the line is traced back distantly to Alfonso Morietti (Jeremy Butterfly), a Sicilian Mafia crime lord that is greatly amused to hear the news of his ascension to the crown. Shortly after the announcement is made and Morietti is declared king of Muzettia, he begins his plans to put the nation under his thumb by rewriting the constitution.

Morietti starts by appointing his brother, Mario, to the position of Advisor to the Crown, and his mother-in-law, Julietta, as the Secretary of Communications. As well as this, Morietti also appoints several other unnamed relatives to top government positions such as Secretary of Defense, Muzettian Chief Minister, and tries declaring his criminal nephew his heir instead of his son.
