A general election was held in Akashi on 28 June 1958. The incumbent Yurika Ehara government was re-elected with a majority.

The election was notable for the Conservative National Party crossing the 90.000-vote electoral threshold and entering the National Assembly for the first time since the Akashian Civil War, and the first appearance of the Akashi Renewal Party, which failed to enter the legislature.
