Fisoj is the capital and largest city of Konkurso, with a population of 276,000. The city was established as a Birnir fishing settlement in 281 BCE, gradually becoming a prominent trading post on Yn Syth and an access point to Nortua via the Samson Ocean. Fisoj is a culturally significant city as it was the founding place of Birnir's predominent religion. Fisoj's symbol of authority has shifted throughout history, markedly as its status has been disputed during the Konkurso Conflict. Currently administered by the Birnir-backed Fisoj National Liberation Front (FNLF), the islands of Konkurso are also claimed by the government of the Pian Islands and up until recently the Cadairi government.
