Hyperboreans (Airþuðan: Nordlagis), is a group of humanoid-beings from Realm 7 who crossed between universes to take refuge in the eastern side of Siberia of Realm 1. They call themselves "Hyperboreans" in Earth language, as they live near the arctic sea.

Appearance

Hyperboreans are divided into two groups: humans and elves. Hyperborean humans are indistinguishable from humans, while Hyperborean elves are slightly different--as they bear long, sharp ears and (mostly) blonde hairs.

History

Early History

Hyperboreans were among those humanoid creatures in the Realm of the Multiverse. Contrary to Earth humans, they started to evolve from fish-folk into humanoid form in a much later age. This was proven by comparing Earth records and Hyperborean records, although, no exact dates were documented as Hyperboreans don't have evolutionary concept in their homeworld. Centuries after evolution, Hyperboreans started to build kingdoms and fight each other for influence and resources. This continued for decades until the Apocalypse appeared and they started to unite with other species to fight for survival.

Interdimensional Crossing

Centuries of war between Hyperboreans and the Apocalypse in their homeworld started to break the very foundation of their own universe, resulted in dimensional rifts like "wisps" starting to appear in random places. Seeing how the war came to no end, Hyperborean royals, mostly from human and elvish factions, crossed the rifts to take refuge. Not knowing the "portals" themselves are dimensional rifts resulted from the Third World War in Realm 1, they were accidentally brought to Egvekinot, Chukotka, Soviet Union in 1970 of Earth's time.

Their existence were noticed by the local Chukchi people, who then provided temporary settlement for them in the harsh tundra lanscape of the Chukotka peninsula. Fearing that their existence might alert the Soviet government who were exploring the area around the peninsula, they left the city and walked southward near Konergino village, where they'd later build a settlement just westward of the village. Their settlement were cast a special magic that'd make them invisible to un-awakened people. Despite this, they still trade with inhabitants of the Konergino village, and often helped them survive through winters using magical artifacts.

It was not until 2040 where an Rising Dawn scout, who was traveling around the region to build a safehouse for Mugen's family, accidentally entered Hyperborea. Their existence became known to the Rising Dawn members, including Mugen, who'd later persuade them to join the fight against the Devil. After the Third World War and the War of Dusk and Dawn, they were incorporated into the Chukotka province, and their city Flodus was opened to public.

Trivia

  • Hyperboreans behave, and has similar bodily functions to Earth humans. The only difference is their body exhibit an extremely slow-aging physiology and extreme sensitivity to natural energy, making it easier for them to gather energy/utilize internal energy.
  • All Hyperborean human royals are portrayed by members of Red Velvet, a Korean girlgroup.
