The Lumcia Strait is a name used by some locals in ViZion, a country in Astyria, to refer to the body of water that separates the two continents of Teudallum and Lorecia. The name Lumcia is derived from the names of the two continents that the strait divides. The official name of the strait, as recognized by the International Community, is the Putin Strait.

The Lumcia Strait is the largest and most important strait in Astyria, and one of the largest in the world. The strait has a strategic significance for the region, as it facilitates the movement of goods, people, and military forces between Teudallum and Lorecia. It also reduces the travel time and distance around the two continents, as ships can avoid the long and perilous journey around the southern tip of Lorecia or the northern tip of Teudallum.

The eastern entrance of the strait is dominated by L'Isola Grande, a large island that belongs to ViZion. The island serves as a gateway to the strait, and houses a large contingency of ViZion’s military as well as some major population centers, including Kirkland. L’Isola Grande also hosts a variety of natural and cultural attractions, such as volcanoes, beaches, forests, and historical monuments.

The name Lumcia Strait reflects the preference and pride of some ViZionarians, who consider the strait as part of their national identity and heritage. They also view the island of L’Isola Grande as their ancestral home and cultural center. The name Lumcia Strait is more commonly used by the people who live on or near the island, while the name Putin Strait is more widely used by the rest of the world and larger swaths of ViZion.
