Penguin Love was a Malgravean idol group that performed briefly in 2018 before disbanding in the same year due to a mixture of health concerns related to MIDD. Members of Penguin Love have gone on to form Venus and Aurora Tea and have been seen together in MalTube videos and MalTec Capybara lives.
Foundation
Work on Penguin Love started in 2017, as Ascension Musical Productions wished to create an idol group which could perform well in the Silverdalean market. Initially, the group was set to be called Puffin Love, however, due to the popularity of penguins in Silverdale the decision was made to launch the group under the name Penguin Love instead.
Moon Hye-Jin, Choi Iseul, Lee Soo-jin, Rhee Yu-Mi and Han Yoon-seo were quickly selected from within the ranks of trainees at Ascension Musical Productions at the time and pushed through a quick cohabitation and training program designed to assess their compatibility and stage presence which they were able to pass.
As part of their debut project Penguin Love released a debut album called Power of Love which released at the start of 2018
2018 - Debut
Penguin Love released their debut album, Power of Love to much acclaim in 2018, with the photoshoots of the idols dressed up as penguins causing quite a storm in Malgrave. Penguin Love went on a quick lightning tour of Music Research Project, Weekly Music Countdown and Music Showcase and several idols were also invited to talk on Food Tour and Weekly Worker.
Problems started when Ascension Musical Productions announced that Han Yoon-seo was taking a small break from scheduled events which soon turned into a longer hiatus. Lee Soo-jin joined the hiatus shortly after which was compounded when Rhee Yu-Mi received an injury while performing at a concert in Rensk.
At the end of 2018 it was reported that Penguin Love had been put on hiatus, however, a few weeks later it was confirmed by Ascension Musical Productions that the entire project had come to an end. Netizens were outraged by the news, as many blamed Ascension Musical Productions for failing to protect the idols and overloading them with with a busy schedule, as users pointed out their schedule of performing multiple live performances a day for weeks on end without breaks.
Penguin Love music is still popular in Malgrave and many attempts have been made to try and push for a unification, although, it is not known how this would work as the Idols have gone on to work on other projects.

- Lee Soo-jin - Main Vocalist - Lee Soo-jin was the main vocalist of Penguin Love and wrote a lot of the music for the group. A portion of the lyrics she has shown in MalTec Capybara lives was originally planned for Penguin Love which has helped fuel a lot of speculation about a future comeback. Soo-jin was a big introvert, however, was often convinced to come out of her shell by Yu-Mi and Iseul
- Choi Iseul - Secondary Vocalist - Choi Iseul was scheduled to the secondary vocalist of Penguin Love, an adorable singer with chaotic enery they were a favourite of many netizens which contributed to them being included in Venus after Penguin Love was disbanded.
- Han Yoon-seo - Secondary Vocalist and Visual - Han Yoon-seo was commonly regarded by netizens as the main visual of the group, with her looks earning the appreciation of many fans which led to her becoming the official visual of the group, and she took part in a few advertising campaigns for MalBank, MalMart and MalTec. Yoon-seo's vocals were also praised, as with Soo-jin she was also an introvert and the friendship they formed was incredibly popular with fans as a soothing and calming presence compared to the pure chaos and energy offered by lives done by Choi Iseul and Rhee Yu-Mi
- Rhee Yu-Mi- Main Dancer/Rapper and Secondary Vocalist - Rhee Yu-Mi was main choreographer and rapper of the group. Yu-Mi's ability to create choreography to suit the styles of each member and encapsulate the ancestral energy of music was noted by netizens at the time and has been further appreciated as part of Aurora Tea.
