Hacyinia, officially known as The Union of Hacyinia and also known as Basshar-Syran or Syran-Basshar, is a country in Coius. It borders Dezevau and Lavana to the east, Zorasan to the north and west, Shangea to the southwest, and Zomia to south. A landlocked country, it straddles the boundary between Southeast Coius and the Great Steppe physically and Greater Iran as well as Greater Southeast Coius culturally. The 31st largest country , Hacyinia occupies 1,031,116.80 km2. The physical landscape of the country is defined by mountainous terrain to the west, vast and sprawling steppe through much of the central area of the country, and fertile river deltas in the east along the shore of Lake Zinabad. The 37 million citizens are multi ethnic, multi lingual and multi religious, who can trace their heritage from the mosaic of nomadic and settled peoples that have influenced the countries history. Population-wise, Hacyinia is roughly the 37th most populous country in the world.
Hacyinia, officially known as the Hacyinia Khanate, is a country in Coius. It borders Dezevau and Lavana to the east, Zorasan to the north and west, Shangea to the southwest, and Zomia to south. A landlocked country, it is the eastern edge of the Great Steppe and the vast majority of the country falls within the delineation of the Great Steppe. Hacyinia straddles the boundary between Southeast Coius and Greater Iran physically and culturally. The 31st largest country, Hacyinia occupies 1,031,116.80 km2. The 28 million citizens are multi ethnic, multi lingual and multi religious, who can trace their heritage from the mosaic of nomadic and settled peoples that have influenced the countries history. Population-wise, Hacyinia is roughly the xxx most populous country in the world.

Most of Hacyinia's history has been as the vague borderlands of various larger, centralized powers nearby sans for a few gleaming city states along trade routes or recognized khanates in the steppes. The lands of Hacyinia have been conquered by various powers from near, far and homegrown. There had been little unity between the western and eastern regions of the modern country, sans occasionally being conquered by the same empire. The modern state of Hacyinia starts in the 18th and 19th century, when the Khanate of Besshar established itself in the western side of the country - an initially loose confederation of ungovernable steppe tribes and rebellious city states that secured de facto independence from a declining Aguda Empire. Besshar was recognized as an independent state and a Gaullican protectorate following the collapse of the Aguda Empire and incorporation of former Agudaian territories into the Gaullican colonial empire. Following the Great War, Syran gained independence. Unstable from the onset, beset by multiple influences in the chaotic post-war era, an Equalist coup overthrew the country establishing the Peoples Equalist Republic of Syran.
Hacyinia and Lavana has been engaged in a longstanding border conflict over the Yoloten region since the 1940s

Hostilities and tension quickly arose between the two countries as they attempted to enforce their claim to the vast steppe space separating them. Border skirmishes and open conflict was common for years. It wasn't until the joint decline of both countries governments due to domestic issues that unification, brokered by international agreement, was reached and went into effect in 1994. The following 28 years has seen a dysfunctional government, partly led by former members of the Equalist Party of Syran and partly led by the Khan of Besshar, muddle through in an almost perpetual state of political crisis. The Hacyinia Troubles has only increased over the years and now it is commonly recognized by many observers, both domestic and internationally, that Hacyinia is on the brink of collapse. Besshar separatists have become more vocal and active in demanding a "two state solution", while the Syranian-led central government refuses to allow any succession to happen. Both factions with foreign backing have been more or less preparing openly for some sort of showdown that many estimate will be coming soon.

Etymology
Hacyinia comes from the Old Pardarian word "hamicyia", meaning rebellious. The descriptor of the steppe peoples  eventually came to refer to the whole general steppe area south of Pardaran proper. The word didn't gain a political meaning until the mid 20th century when the first ideas of unification between Besshar and Syran were proposed. When Besshar and Syran did unify and merge into one state in 1994, the name Hacyinia was chosen as the new state name.
Hacyinia (Pronounced: /hɑ:sin.i.ə/, Listen) comes from the Old Pardarian word "hamicyia", meaning rebellious. The name originally comes from the nickname given to an Oroqic chieftain by the Arasanid Empire who perpetually continued to rebel and fight against Arasanid rule. Hacyinia eventually morphed into the name of the general steppe region between the Pardaric and Ziban politys, and remained as a placename until the establishment of the Hacyinian Khanate in 1845 where it then transferred to being the political name of the area as well.

The names of the two competent states of Hacyinia, Besshar and Syran, are both Oroqic and Pardarian blended words. Besshar means "Five Cities" and Syran translates to the "Land of Syr/Sir". Besshar stems from the 18th and 19th centuries when the once fairly stateless region began to centralize around the oases city states nestled into the foothills of Mount Chanwan, forming a new polity in the face of the Aguda Empires slow collapse. Syran stems from a much earlier time, and is the result of the eponymous founder of the Syr Khanate in the 11th and 12th centuries. Although the Syr Khanate  collapsed shortly after it's founding, the Aguda Empire adopted the local endonym of the province which then became widespread.

History
History
Hacyinia has a long history, dominated mostly by the nomadic peoples that have ruled from the steppes as well as powerful empires who have conquered and held sway over the area.  Although the area has long been inhabited with archeological records showing evidence of human settlement dating back to 6,000 BCE; the first recorded peoples in the area date back to the second millennia B.C with !Scythian/!Saka nomads domaining the steppes and settled Pardardian speaking city states establishing themselves in the eastern river deltas by Lake Zinabad, as well as in the foothills of the western mountains. The Chanwan had long called the highlands of western Hacyinia home and began establishing their own polity's in the highlands of the Huashan mountain range. In the southwestern steppe, in the modern day borderlands between Hacyinia, Zomia and Lavana, the proto-Oroqic Xiongnu held sway and competed with the !Scythians/!Saka for control of the steppe. The Ashina were able to establish several of their own powerful states controlling parts of Southeast Coius until just before the end of the 1st century CE.

The almost simultaneous Badi Reaction and the expansion of the Second Heavenly Dominion
Khaganate
<br>
- created a bunch of chaos
<br>
- Irfanic Oroqic tribes closer to Lake Zinabad were like nah we're good, we're going to hang out with the Pasdewars instead of you Badist bums to the south
<br>
- in general some wildness. Badism survived in the SW/W of Hacyinia mostly due to the foothills/slightly mountainous terrian gave people something to defend and made invasions diffiuclt (plus gotta get through the steppe first). E Hacyinia didn't really have that, was able to be conquered and converted fairly easily.
<br>
- saw much of E Hacyinia/Syran de facto/de jure a part of the 2nd Heavenly Dominion, while W Hacyinia/Besshar was only de jure.
<br>
- start of much of the religious/ethnic spilt within the country.

Following the Tagamic Migrations
- In the roughly 1000s/1100s CE, khaganate forms conquering much of Hacyinia + surronding areas. Doesn't last super long before running into rising Aguda Empire, western steppe empires, etc.
<br>
- Oroqic tribes moved in to take the places of everybody else who had migrated, further adding to the chaos of the period.
<br>
- Hacyinia was largerly unaffected? It was like the very eastern edge of the steppe and everybody seemed to be more concerned with heading up through Zorasan to Euclea.
<br>
- Start of Oroqic domniance in the steppe.
<br>
- Svai Empire ruling over Besshar during this time
<br>

Aguda Empire era
The era of the Khanates
- Lakeside area/Sudagylan pretty much adminstrated as core provience of Aguda Empire, saw lots of urbanization/development. Steppe areas vaguely adminstrated
<br>
- Era of Turkic khanates and their dominance in at leas the eastern part of the steppe/around the Hushan mountain range. Maybe frequent wars with the Chanwan? Wars with neighbors for sure. Two "native khanates" with the Orto Khanate + the Syran Khanate during this time that emerged right after the other.

Aguda Empire, direct control in the east and suzerainty in the west
Pre Great War
<br>
- Aguda Empire directly administered Syran. Utilized Clear Water Sect elites to administer country. Promoter of agriculture/irrigation/urbanization, Ziba speakers move into the area. Most of Syran has been Irfanic since the Heavenly Dominion.
<br>
- Aguda Empire attempted to also directly admin Besshar, not really able to happen outside of the urban areas. Ended up relying on just being the suzerains of the nomadic Badist Beyek, Ukilen tribes as well as the semi-nomadic Kacdags, which was an arrangement almost everybody could agree upon. Still issues with occasional tribal raids and when the suzerainty was being competed with?
<br>
- Syran came to be a core part of the Aguda Empire, and over the several hundred years of Aguda direct rule largely came to see itself as part of the wider Aguda Empire rather than "Syran." The lands of modern day Bessharia in turn began to exert more and more independence in their own affairs as the steppe tribes and city states of Besshar began to build the beginnings of a state during the decline of the Aguda Empire.

Gaullican Syran + Independent Besshar
- Taken over by the Gaullicans when they took over the Aguda Empire. Although retaining de jure sovereingity/suzeranity over western Hacyinia, largely unwilling/unable to enforce direct control and it was a largerly autonoumnus area. Eastern Hacyinia wasn't considered to be particuarly valuable in the eys of the Gaullcians. Views quickly changed on discovery of oil, massive mineral deposits in the years prior to the Great War.
<br>
- As Gaullica assumed direct control over the core of the Aguda Empire, also assumed control over Syran. Syran became a large cotton exporter during the colonial period, as well as vast mineral reserves exploited. Later on, oil (~35% of total Hacyinia production) was found and added to the economic value of Gaullican Syran.
<br>
- Besshar/Bessharia was in an awk. situation being surrounded by an expanding Shangea, Eturia coming down through Zorasan, and then Gaullica nearby and who knows who else. Some inital conflict broke out between Gaullica + Besshar but mostly inconsluvie expedetions on both sides. Besshar agreed to protectorate status with Gaullica, giving Gaullica de jure control over the countries foreign affairs - but de facto the position was heavily competed by all nearby colonial powers ("The Smaller Game")
<br>
- Understanding the grave risk presented to them, Besshar responded by further uniting the looser tribal confederation into a more centralized state at the risk of independence. Still very decentralized, almost feudal like in a lot of ways.
<br>
- General tracks during this period - Syran turned away from Euclean influence, took cues from Dezenau and began adopting an anti-colonist mindset especially in the midst of the great war. Besshar on the other hand cautiously welcomed Euclean influence into the country, viewing it as a source of modernization/power/wealth. !Gurkhas from Besshar served in the Gaullican forces (often as a tool of colonial repression).

Conflicts/"two state period"
- Eastern Hacyinia was the primarily battleground of SE Coius Front, heavily devasted. Western Steppe saw consolidation of power around Busa Bul Bey, who gained the tacit backing of the Grand Alliance. Attacked Gaullican colonies during the later stages of the Great War (!Third Anglo-Afghan War), influential later arrival to the Grand Alliance in their region.

Supported Estmere during their occupation of SE Coius. Likely saw eastern Hacyinia fold into country during this time during Estmere supported negotiations. Began fancying itself as a regional power, imposed self on the majority Oroqic and Ukilenic lands of eastern Lavana which has led to massive amounts of conflict. Spent a good chunk of the post war years bouncing between Senria and Shangea in order to gain resources/support, more closely aligned self with Shangea as time progressed.
<br>
Friendly with the Pardarian Revolutionary Resistance Command - the Shah had designs to take over parts of Hacyinia prior to the civil war/other beefs between Hacyinia and the Shah, saw an oppertunity to remove him and supported Zorasan ever since
<br>
Occupied large bits of western Lavana/"Outer Hacyinia" for a bit following the great war, refused to give the land back to the newly formed Lav Republic - got booted off when Lav socialists came to power. Considers much of the traditional Oroqic/Ukilenic land in Lavana to be "rightfully" Hacyinian.
<br>
Saw a large amount of moderanization, introduction of a light consitution, reform efforts speaerheaded by the great technocratic king Gulaua Arda Khan.

The elevation of the country varies greatly, with some areas being several thousand meters above sea levels and others being several hundred meters below sea levels. Generally elevation rises the in the west, closer to the Huashan mountains, as well as along the border with Zorasan. Much of the mountains and elevation in the country are volcanic. The country is entirely considered to be within a Temperate grasslands, savannas, and shrublands biome, with a temperate climate. Precipitation is fairly high, and generally there is mild winters with warmer summers. The increasing desertification of nearby Zorasan has had a major impact on eastern Hacyinia in particularly, with notable land degradation impacting the agricultural output of eastern Hacyinia.

Arable land is at a minimum and mostly of the countries arable land is concreated in the east along in the river deltas and the shore of Lake Zinabad, or more limitedly in the west in mountain oases supplied by the melting glacial water of the Huashan mountains. The central steppes soil is incapable of supporting any sort of large scale agriculture, although it is more than capable of supporting large scale animal husbandry both historically and modern day. Much of the steppe has very limited water supply sans a few lakes and seasonal rivers that occasionally form. Water rights is a serious political concern, both domestically as well as internationally. Much of the water resources in the country are located in Karasm and are used to support extensive commercial agriculture. The shrinking of Lake Zinabad is of great concern to the Hacyinian government, and the Karasmic government before that.

The country is overwhelmingly steppe land, with some geographic diversity in the west with the Transhuashan foothills and in the east riverine deltas in low valleys. The elevation of the country varies greatly however, with some areas being several thousand meters above sea levels and others being several hundred meters below sea levels. Generally elevation rises the in the west and closer to the Huashan mountains.
The country is also periodically struck by zuds, which are occasional and harsh sudden changes in the climate which causes a large amount of livestock to die due to starvation, the elements and other factors. It does cause an extensive amount of economic and social upheaval for the predominantly rural, pastoral population as they are forced to move to urban areas or abroad in order to find work. Zud's are becoming increasingly more common as climate change and desertification impact the country.

Arable land is at a minimum, with most of the water in the central steppes of the country coming from oases and seasonal rivers. The steppes soil is incapable of supporting any sort of large scale agriculture, although it is more than capable of supporting large scale animal husbandry both historically and modern day. The "steppe" of the country often interchanges between what is technically considered savanna, with much longer grasses, as well as true steppe with much shorter grasses.
The volcanic mountains that form much of the border with Zorasan are the result of plate tecontics. Earthquakes are a common occurerence within the country.

Most of the countries arable land is concreated in the east along the shore of Lake Zinabad and the river deltas near the shore, or in the west in mountain oases supplied by the melting glacial water of the Huashan mountains. Rainfall is dependent on the season, with the winter being typically much dryer than the summer. In addition, temperature swings can greatly vary from day and night.

Demographics
Hacyinia has 28,046,377 citizens per it's most recent census in 2020. Hacyinia's population has been rapidly increasing in the past several decades as urbanization increases. Hacyinia has traditionally been organized into nomadic pastoral clans, loose empires, beyliks and city-states with centralization of the country only truly beginning in the 1940s. There is a fairly sizeable diaspora population across the world, fueled by a mixture of the ongoing conflicts with Lavana as well as search for better economic or political opportunities.

Urbanization is steadily increasing in the country, albeit at a slow rate. Much of the country, particularly in the western steppes, retains much of their historical semi-nomadic or nomadic pastoral lifestyle. Much of the countries urbanization is concreated near Lake Zinarud and the capital Dabulug.

The Hacyinian diaspora is fairly large. Historically, much of Hacyinia was dominated by nomadic tribesmen and as such they would migrate or find work as mercenaries in far off places. The modern diaspora's origins begin in the gowsa migrations of the 20th century, where small groups migrated to the Asterias for better economonic opportunities. The diasporas population has grown rapidly since the Great War, due to the direct aftereffects of the Great War as well as later conflicts with Lavana. The countries with the largest diaspora populations are XXX, YYY and ZZZ.

Irfanics are typically found closer to the border of Zorasan, albeit, are dispersed throughout the country. There is a small minority of Irfanic Chanwans in the country. Followers of traditional religions are typically found in the west of the country, however, due to the highly syncretic nature of the Thin Air Sect much of the practices of traditional religions in Hacyinia are very smiliar to the Thin Air Sect. For the other religions, typically they found clustered in urban areas throughout the country in insignificant numbers.

The government of Hacyinia is a Unicameralism Constitutional monarchy. The Unified Assembly, the national parliament, operates as a Dominant-party system despite the existence of several opposition parties. The government was created as a merger from the Absolute monarchy of Besshar and the One-party state Equalist state of Syran in the xxxMid 90s following the Unification of Hacyinia. Both Besshar and Syran reached a tenuous agreement, in which the Khan of Besshar would function as the Head of State and the Head of Goverment would be the prime minister, who has to be a Syranian. It was originally intended for the goverment to function as a Consociationalism model, relying on the Royalist elites of Besshar and the former Equalist party officials of Syran in order to maintain stability in the country.

The government of Hacyinia, since 1960, is a de jure constitutional monarchy. Prior to 1960, Hacyinia was closer to a feudal, absolute monarchy. It is considered to be a Not Free country in political freedom rankings.

A hereditary Khan is the Head of State of the country. The Khan of Hacyinia wields significant, although not absolute power, and the monarchy remains a powerful political and social institution in Hacyinia. There are severe Lèse-majesté laws in place.

Military
The head of government is the Prime Minister, elected from the 100 members of the Kurultai - the countries unicameral legislature. Military, oligarchic and tribal aristocrats dominate the legislature.

Maybe at one point kinda solid? But now largerly the central military is just existing on paper, much of the military is more or less more loyal to either Besshar/Syran then they are to the entire state. Paramilitary orgs, unofficially offically backed by each side, has become the norm as each side prepares for a reality where there may be a civil war/war for indepdence if stuff cant get figured out .
A Great Council of Chiefs, the ruler of smaller autonomous beyliks that are the descendants of the smaller khanates Hacyinia absorbed during the Unification Campaigns, remains an important factor of Hacyinian politics. They are proscribed two important constitutional duties, functioning as an electoral college for the Prime Minister as well as being allowed to select a certain amount of members of the Kurultai.

Economy
think Mongolia/Kazakhstan/similar stuff. Oil producing = 1,229,357 barrels per day? I think a big thing with the economy is that is actually could be really powerful, but, with the domestic shitshow going on its unlikely to reach anything close to it's potential in any due time. PetroLav has a pretty solid foothold in at least Syran. Talks within Besshar of building an oil pipeline through Zomia to Nav/Kuth to reduce dependence on immediate neighbors.
10h largest oil producer in the world (1,229,357 bbls per day), wealth of mineral resources. Other major exports include cotton and livestock. The economy is buoyed by being surrounded by larger, wealthier and stabler states. However, as a landlocked country, it's economy is also hindered by it's lack of natural sea access. It's wholly reliant on shipping it's goods through xxx because of political circumstances, and any freeze in relations would tank the economy.

Hacyinia is incredibly rich in mineral resources. Hacyinia ranks amongst the top nations for both production and reserves in uranium, coal, gold, tin, tungsten, cooper, bauxite, chromite amongst others. Most of the mineral resources are located in the countries west. Ninja miners often operate on the far western reaches of the country or along the border with Zomia.

Hydroelectricity is an important sector of the economy. Several major rivers in the country, flowing towards Lavana - several large scale dams/projects built in order to capture the hydroelectric power of the country as well as to free up oil/natural gas resources for market. Dams also utilized as a bargaining chip in Lavana - Hacyinia maintains an ability to impact a fairly significant % of Lavana's water supply.

Agriculture is divided into two parts. The first is nomadic or semi-nomadic animal husbandry, which constitutes roughly 58% of the agricultural output of the country. Major animal products exported by Hacyinia include meat and fat from camels, cattle, chickens, horses, goats, pigs and sheep; eggs; honey; milk; wool from camels, cattle, goats, and sheep; and hides and skins from camels, cattle, goats, horses, and sheep. The other 42% of the agricultural sector in Hacyinia is crop-based farming. Cotton is referred to as "white gold" in Hacyinia. Introduced by the Gaullicans, massive plantations were set up in eligible areas. Commercial growing of cotton spread throughout Hacyinia, and currently now operates as a massive cash crop for the country. Most agricultural in the country is concreated in areas closer to Lake Zinarud, or, along heavily irrigated rivers in the countries west.

Culturally Besshar is more turko-mongol, Syran is more turko-persian. Heavy influence from SE Asia, I imagine national food sorta similar to the Uyghurs/Hazaras? You know we be making rugs. Besshar is Badist, Syran is Irfanic. some Euclean influence penetrated Besshar/Syran.

Much of the culture in Hacyinia is rooted in the broadly shared Persianate Turko-Mongol and Scytho-Siberian world cultures.

Rugby union is most popular team sport. og known as tülkhekh (mongolian)/sxojyn (oss)/ïterw (kaz) ["to push"]; Eucleans were like "damn I know a game like that" and introduced rugby to folks proper. Much more popular in the west, used as a piece of cultural/'civilizing' imperialism. "rugby diplomacy" was/is a strategy used by Besshar and to a much less extent Hacyinia in order to build diplomatic relationships with primarily Euclean and other countries to avoid being so overly dependent on the neighbors. Syran following the equalist revolution was like "nah we dont rugby anymore because it's bourgeoius af" and was more of the gymnastic socialist. Maybe their more into soccer?
Buzkashi very popular, as well as other equestrian games/activities owing to countries steppe and horse culture. Mongolian wrestling/Turkic wrestling also popular. Something like Naadam very possible. Rugby, in the union/league/sevens variants, is the most common team sport in the country followed by basketball. Combat sports/martial arts also very popular.

Gulaua Arda Khan was a big proponent of physical culture in Hacyinia. He had developed a philosophy of "muscular Badism", which remains an important guiding principle of much of Hacyinia's sports scene. Educated in Euclea, Galaua Arda Khan introduced rugby and basketball in addition to sports such as olympic weightlifting amongst others during his reign as "culturally appropriate" youth sports. The state remains heavily involved in promoting and subsidizing sports within Hacyinia, seeing it as an important development to "strong and healthy" citizens as well as utilizing as a form of international diplomacy.

Due to influence from neighboring Dezevau, ganome's are ubiquitous throughout the country. Hacyinia has a strong coffee culture.
Tattoos
Hacyinia has a rich history of tattooing. Various cultures in modern Hacyinia has practiced forms of tattooing throughout their history, and today its fairly common to see tattoos adorned on most people in Hacyinia. Despite the different styles of tattoos, almost all are rooted in beliefs that the tattoos are useful as charms to ward off evil spirts or to bring good luck to the tattooed person. Tattoos are typically more common in the western side of the country, as during the Gaullican colonization period the colonial authorities attempted to end the practice amongst various ethnic groups - albeit the practice continued in secret.
Historically, the Central Coian trade route and the Great Steppe trade routes helped spread the influence of Hacyinian tattoos across Coius.

Hacyinia straddles the boundary between Southeast Coius and Greater Pardarian physically and culturally.

Hacyinia and Lavana has been engaged in a longstanding border conflict over the Yoloten region since the 1940s

Etymology

Hacyinia (Pronounced: /hɑ:sin.i.ə/, Listen) comes from the Old Pardarian word "hamicyia", meaning rebellious. The name originally comes from the nickname given to an Oroqic chieftain by the Arasanid Empire who perpetually continued to rebel and fight against Arasanid rule. Hacyinia eventually morphed into the name of the general steppe region between the Pardaric and Ziban politys, and remained as a placename until the establishment of the Hacyinian Khanate in 1845 where it then transferred to being the political name of the area as well.

In the southwestern steppe, in the modern day borderlands between Hacyinia, Zomia and Lavana, the proto-Oroqic Ashina held sway and competed with the !Scythians/!Saka for control of the steppe. The Ashina were able to establish several of their own powerful states controlling parts of Southeast Coius until just before the end of the 1st century CE.

Khaganate

- In the roughly 1000s/1100s CE, khaganate forms conquering much of Hacyinia + surronding areas. Doesn't last super long before running into rising Aguda Empire, western steppe empires, etc.

- Lakeside area/Sudagylan pretty much adminstrated as core provience of Aguda Empire, saw lots of urbanization/development. Steppe areas vaguely adminstrated

Pre Great War

- Taken over by the Gaullicans when they took over the Aguda Empire. Although retaining de jure sovereingity/suzeranity over western Hacyinia, largely unwilling/unable to enforce direct control and it was a largerly autonoumnus area. Eastern Hacyinia wasn't considered to be particuarly valuable in the eys of the Gaullcians. Views quickly changed on discovery of oil, massive mineral deposits in the years prior to the Great War.

Great War

- Eastern Hacyinia was the primarily battleground of SE Coius Front, heavily devasted. Western Steppe saw consolidation of power around Busa Bul Bey, who gained the tacit backing of the Grand Alliance. Attacked Gaullican colonies during the later stages of the Great War (!Third Anglo-Afghan War), influential later arrival to the Grand Alliance in their region.

Busa Bul Khan, the first Khan of Hacyinia

Post Great War

Supported Estmere during their occupation of SE Coius. Likely saw eastern Hacyinia fold into country during this time during Estmere supported negotiations. Began fancying itself as a regional power, imposed self on the majority Oroqic and Ukilenic lands of eastern Lavana which has led to massive amounts of conflict. Spent a good chunk of the post war years bouncing between Senria and Shangea in order to gain resources/support, more closely aligned self with Shangea as time progressed.
Friendly with the Pardarian Revolutionary Resistance Command - the Shah had designs to take over parts of Hacyinia prior to the civil war/other beefs between Hacyinia and the Shah, saw an oppertunity to remove him and supported Zorasan ever since
Occupied large bits of western Lavana/"Outer Hacyinia" for a bit following the great war, refused to give the land back to the newly formed Lav Republic - got booted off when Lav socialists came to power. Considers much of the traditional Oroqic/Ukilenic land in Lavana to be "rightfully" Hacyinian.
Saw a large amount of moderanization, introduction of a light consitution, reform efforts speaerheaded by the great technocratic king Gulaua Arda Khan.

Gulaua Arda Khan, the Second Khan of Hacyinia

Present Day

Struggling against Lavana due to the Yoloten, wider conflict against the SE Coius Councilst Bloc due to this. Incresingly closer to Zorasan/ROSPO during this time

Geography

At 1,031,116.80 km2, Hacyinia is the 15th largest in Coius, and the 31st largest in the world. It is slightly smaller than Behera and slightly larger than Belmonte. A landlocked country, it has a minimally varied terrain. The country is overwhelmingly steppe land. In the west there is the Transhuashan foothills and the plateau of the Great Steppe, while in the east there is the riparian inflowing rivers deltas to Lake Zinabad.

The volcanic mountains that form much of the border with Zorasan are the result of plate tecontics. Earthquakes are a common occurerence within the country.

Wildlife

Bactarian deer! Bactarian camels! Wolves! There's brown bears in Central Asia apparently? Snow leopards, cut & paste from stuff. Horses!

Demographics

Various photographs of Hacyinians from different ethnic groups.

The Khan of Hacyinia
The Prime Minister of Hacyinia

The government of Hacyinia, since 1960, is a de jure constitutional monarchy. Prior to 1960, Hacyinia was closer to a feudal, absolute monarchy. It is considered to be a Not Free country in political freedom rankings.

A hereditary Khan is the Head of State of the country. The Khan of Hacyinia wields significant, although not absolute power, and the monarchy remains a powerful political and social institution in Hacyinia. There are severe Lèse-majesté laws in place.

The head of government is the Prime Minister, elected from the 100 members of the Kurultai - the countries unicameral legislature. Military, oligarchic and tribal aristocrats dominate the legislature.

A constitutional body of beys, the ruler of smaller autonomous beyliks that are the descendants of the smaller khanates Hacyinia absorbed during the Unification Campaigns, remains an important factor of Hacyinian politics. They are proscribed two important constitutional duties, functioning as an electoral college for the Prime Minister as well as being allowed to select a certain amount of members of the Kurultai.

Deep state in Turkey

There is a convoluted intertangling between the Hacyinian monarchy, intelligence and military officials, business oligarchs and organized crime. The basic goals of these alliance is self-enrichment, safeguarding their own hegemony within the country, the survival of the monarchy and elimination of democratic reform efforts.

Economy

Agricultural workers picking cotton

Culture

Much of the culture in Hacyinia is rooted in the broadly shared Pardaranate Oroqic-Ukilenic and !Scytho-Siberian cultures.

Sport

Kokpar very popular, as well as other equestrian games/activities owing to countries steppe and horse culture.

Cuisine
