Dairana

Dairana, officially known as The Holy Kingdom of Dairana, is a nation in southern Pelia which is bordered by, and only by, The Mapleville Corporation. Dairana is well known for its pretty, yet cold landscape. Dairana is one of the tech-focused nations in Sparkalia. Dairana has had a short, yet interesting history. The country is one of the least populous in sparkalia, but has a small growth pattern of 0.7% since 1600 AR. Currently, as of 1610, the population is estimated to be 5,000,000, with its capital, Šaja, being the largest city with a population of 657,291 citizens living in the capital. It is mostly rural and suburban but most Province capitals are moderately large.

Etymology

Dairana is a mix of the words Daiski and Ranaiski, this sparked controversy with the Schrüder and Tundric people as they felt that they weren't given enough representation.

History

On Primo 18th, 954 AR, The Principality of Dairana has formed. It has been formed by the four ethnic groups that make up the nation, the Daiski, Ranaiski, the Schrüder, and the Tundric. For most of the time, Dairana was peaceful and stable. However, in 1063 AR, the Schrüder had started revolting, as they had not been given enough representation amongst the Dairai. And in 1064 AR, the Schrüder had delcared independence from Dairana. Both countries had bad relations with each other. Though, they began to improve, they even improved so much that the Schrüder had made the decision to join Dairana in 1127 AR. As of 1612 AR, King Jaka Durchdenwald had expanded Dairai borders, and declared Dairana as an Empire.

Demographics

Dairai Culture is very similar to that of Slovenian, Croatian, German, and Inuit. the 4 Ethnic groups of Dairana are the Daiski, Ranaiski, Schrüder, and the Tundric. The Daiski are the most prevalent group in Dairana, with 57.8% of people being of Daiski Decent, And the Tundric being the least prevalent with only 1.3% of people being of Tundric Decent. The main religion is Alvyrism, with almost 95% of Dairai people following it, and Tundric folk religion being the least common, with only 2% of people practicing it, and the rest of the Dairai people are athiest.

Health and Education/Development

In terms of health and development, the people of Dairana are quite healthy, with a lifespan of 80 Years (78.2 Males, 82.9 Females). The people have also a good access to education, the country has a 99.8% Literacy Rate. The Dairai people also have a great access to healthcare, with all citizens having access to it. The nation is also renowned for it's inexpensive and high-quality healthcare.

In terms of Diplomatic relations, Dairana aims to improve relations with all countries in Pelia, and also has good relations with Indefinite Color.

Provinces

Dairana is home to twenty provinces in the country. All of them varying in population. Certain provinces can have a majority of only one of the four ethnic groups, though, some can be mixed. Each province is ruled by a Premier, who oversees province rules, development, and tourism. Most provinces are divided into counties, however, in Angel and Silver islands, they are divided into boroughs, and Alpenheim is divided into parishes.

Politics

In Dairana, a Prime Minister is elected to be the head of government, there are different parties that Prime Ministers can represent. Dairana elects Prime Ministers by popular vote, and the candidate with the highest amount of votes wins the election. The candidate wins a province or county by having more people vote for said candidate than the other(s) running for Prime Minister.
