Magia Regnum (Magian:魔法領域, Mahō Ryōiki; lit. Magic Realm) officially the High Magical Girl Realm of Magia Regnum , is an oceanic nation located in the middle of the Meager Ocean on the Dacia continent. Together with Lurynia at it's northern border and Regeliana at it's southern border it forms the "magical girl triad" on Sparkalia commonly referred to by Magians as the Magical Girl Realm. Magia Regnum is a powerful and influential magical girl nation with a strong sense of pride in its traditions and beliefs. This pride can sometimes lead to tensions with other nations, particularly it's Magical Girl neighbors. As one of the oldest and most powerful magical girl nations, Magia Regnum regularly exerts it's influence across the realms of magic and the affairs of magical girls within Sparkalia of which it views with the utmost importance.

Etymology

In Magian, the country's name is written using the kanji 魔法の領域, which is pronounced Mahō no Ryōiki. The first kanji, 魔法, means "magic," while the second kanji, 領域, means "realm" or "domain." When combined, the phrase 魔法の領域 (Mahō no Ryōiki) can be translated to mean "realm of magic." This phrase is often shortened to simply Mahō Ryōiki in everyday use. It is unclear where "Magia Regnum" first came from, however it was likely adopted due to its easy pronunciation by non-Magian speakers. The word "Magia" is similar to the Magian word "Mahō," meaning "magic," while "Regnum" is derived from the Latin word for "kingdom" or "realm." The common name "Magia Regnum" is believed to have originated from the way Lurynians pronounced the name of the country in their own language. As Lurynians were frequent traders with Magia Regnum, they likely introduced the name to other nations with whom they traded, and it eventually became the common name used in international settings.

History

City-States

A Magian City-State

The emergence of the City-States of Magia Regnum was a response to the chaos and devastation caused by the Ruin. Many larger kingdoms and empires had collapsed or were in a weakened state, leaving power vacuums that smaller city-states could fill. These city-states were often founded by groups of people who had come together for mutual protection and survival in the post-Ruin world. The city-states were centered around urban areas, which were often fortified and had strong defenses. The inhabitants of these cities were fiercely independent and took great pride in their autonomy and self-governance. Each city-state had its own unique culture and traditions, which were often tied to the local geography or history.

Despite their independence, the city-states were not entirely isolated from one another. They engaged in trade and commerce, exchanging goods and services to meet their respective needs. Some city-states specialized in certain goods or industries, such as textiles or mining, and would trade these goods with other city-states in exchange for food, weapons, or other resources. The city-states also formed alliances and coalitions to protect their interests or expand their territories. These alliances were often based on shared cultural or political values, or a common threat from a rival city-state. Some city-states even had their own armies and navies, which they used to defend their territories or project their power against their rivals.

The decline and fall of the City-States of Magia Regnum was a gradual process that occurred over several centuries. One major factor was the rise of centralized states and empires, which began to emerge in the surrounding regions. These larger political entities had more resources and greater military power than the City-States, and were able to assert their dominance over them through conquest or diplomacy. In addition to external pressures, the City-States also faced internal challenges that weakened their power and influence. One major issue was the lack of a centralized government or authority, which made it difficult for the City-States to coordinate their actions or respond to crises effectively. This often led to infighting and conflict among the city-states themselves.

During the war of the City-States, a new power emerged: the magical girls. They were able to wield the power of a divine being that had appeared known as the "Ōrumaiti", a magical force that gave them incredible abilities and made them virtually unbeatable on the battlefield. With the rise of the magical girls, the tide of the war began to turn. As the magical girls continued to win battles and gain ground, they eventually succeeded in unifying the City-States into a single nation under the leadership of Emi "Dawn Fighter" Kei. This new nation was led by the magical girls, who used their powers to maintain order and stability.

Kraterocracy

Beginning in 807 the new nation under Emi Kei saw to Magia Regnum being ruled under a new Theocractic Kraterocracy which favored the strongest magical girls over anything else. This was due to the fact that for many years since the bond between the Ōrumaiti and Magia Regnum the Ōrumaiti herself was dormant; only granting power to a small minority of the realm and seldom speaking to anyone. This lead to an elitist hierarchy system which put those who received power, The high authority rested in the office of the Proto-Master a military-like position which saw complete executive and military control of the nation. The Proto-Master was accompanied by a hand picked council known as the Tsuyoi-Mono which engaged in a mostly consensus process to oversee the nation. Under this, a strict class system was introduced which saw the Proto-Master and the strongest of magical girls, known as the Nyūsen , at the top, followed by the warrior-caste of magical girl fighters known as the Sentō-in , with those of non-magical or otherwise weak ability ranking below known as the Saiki no nai. The government banned most foreigners under the isolationist policies which only favored magical girls and forbid anyone not of a magical class.

The Theocratic Kraterocracy marked a significant departure from the more egalitarian and inclusive society of the earlier Magian societies. The Ōrumaiti, the source of the Magical Girls' powers, was a mysterious and powerful being whose origins were shrouded in myth and legend. Some believed that they were ancient an or spirit, while others believed that they were extraterrestrial being who had visited the planet in the distant past. Whatever their true origins, the Ōrumaiti was revered as sacred beings and were worshipped by many in the Kraterocracy. however, ith the dormant state of the Ōrumaiti, power became concentrated in the hands of a select few, and those who did not possess magical abilities were relegated to a lower status. This new system led to a society that was highly competitive and hierarchical, with those at the top enjoying great power and privilege, while those at the bottom struggled to survive.

Renaissance

The Renaissance in Magia Regnum brought about a significant shift in the society's focus, moving away from a purely military-centric state towards one that embraced the study and appreciation of magic. This newfound emphasis on education and the arts led to a flourishing of culture and creativity, with many magical girls taking up pursuits such as painting, music, and literature. Likewise, The democratization of the legislative process marked a major shift in the way that Magia Regnum was governed, with power being devolved away from the centralized authority of the Proto-Master and towards a more decentralized system of governance.

Under the leadership of Masaki "Horizon Breaker" Fuji, the government underwent significant reforms aimed at dismantling the rigid class system and devolving power from the centralized authority of the Proto-Master. The introduction of the Gaidansu and the Tate-Shōsū marked a significant departure from the earlier system, allowing for greater representation and participation from all members of society. One of the major reforms instituted by Horizon Breaker was the introduction of the Gaidansu, a new executive council that replaced the Tsuyoi-Mono. Unlike the previous council, which had been composed solely of magical girls with offensive-magic strength and had been focused primarily on military matters, the Gaidansu was comprised of individuals selected based on their expertise and experience in a range of different fields.

Similarly, the introduction of the Tate-Shōsū represented a significant departure from the earlier system of government, which had been highly centralized and authoritarian in nature. The Tate-Shōsū was a legislative body composed of representatives elected by the people, with each member given an equal vote in the decision-making process. This democratization of the legislative process marked a major shift in the way that Magia Regnum was governed, with power being devolved away from the centralized authority of the Proto-Master and towards a more decentralized system of governance. This shift towards a more diverse and representative leadership structure allowed for a broader range of voices and perspectives to be heard within the government, helping to promote greater collaboration and cooperation between different segments of society.

The establishment of the Seigi Kaikan marked a major milestone in the history of Magia Regnum, as it represented the first time that military power was separated from the position of the Proto-Master. Prior to this, the Proto-Master held complete control over all military matters, which allowed them to exercise significant influence over the direction of the government. The Seigi Kaikan, on the other hand, was designed to be a more collective body, with power distributed among its members. It was responsible for overseeing the nation's military forces, including the training and deployment of magical girls as well as the defense of Magia Regnum from external threats.

Horizon Breaker's reforms also saw a focus on the development of the arts and culture, as well as the promotion of education and scientific inquiry. This emphasis on intellectual pursuits helped to further break down the rigid class system, as individuals were no longer judged solely on their magical abilities but on their contributions to society as a whole. This ultimately led to the dissolving of the Kraterocracy and the class system of Magia Regnum in 1326.

Geography and Climate

It is surrounded by water on it's east and West sides and has a diverse range of landscapes, from sandy beaches to lush forests and rolling hills. The climate is generally mild and temperate, with warm summers and cool winters. The island is divided into several regions, each with its own unique geography and features. The central region of Magia Regnum is dominated by the capital city, which is located on the coast and surrounded by several smaller towns and villages. The northern region of the island is mountainous, with steep peaks and rugged terrain, while the eastern region is characterized by dense forests and rolling hills. The southern region of the island is flatter, with expansive grasslands and sandy beaches.

Magia Regnum has a temperate climate, characterized by mild to cold winters and warm to hot summers. The country is located in the northern hemisphere, which means that its seasons follow the same pattern as most other countries in that hemisphere. The climate in Magia Regnum is heavily influenced by the surrounding bodies of water, including the Wintry Ocean to the north and the Tranquil Sea to the east. These bodies of water help to moderate the temperature and create a more humid climate in some areas. The country's geography also plays a role in its climate. The northern and western regions of Magia Regnum are mountainous, which means that they receive more precipitation than the flatter eastern regions. The southern regions, which are closer to the equator, tend to be warmer and more humid than the northern regions.

Government and Politics

The current Haimajika, the elder Magical Girl Isami "Seeker Bell" Amari

The government of Magia Regnum is called the Kami no Kotoba commonly just referred to as the Kotoba. It is composed of three distinct branches. The Gaidansu (Magia:指導; lit. Guidance) which is the executive branch that manages the operations of Magia Regnum and oversees the worship of the Ōrumaiti. The Gaidansu is lead by the Haimajika which is the most senior position in Magia Regnum. The Haimajika is the only individual who is able to speak with the Ōrumaiti on a regular basis and is invested with significant religious influence and domestic policymaking. The Haimajika also represents the Ōrumaiti to its own people, and represents the nation to the rest of Sparkalia. The Haimajika also fulfills many ceremonial duties mostly dedicated to the Ōrumaiti. The Haimajika is appointed by the Ōrumaiti herself from among the ranks of the Gaidansu. The Haimajika typically serves for life. The current Haimajika is the elder Magical Girl Isami "Seeker Bell" Amari who has served since Pax 23rd, 1509.

The Tate-Shōsū is the unicameral legislature of Magia Regnum. It has 250 members appointed for a four-year terms by the Gaidansu with approval from the Seigi Kaikan. The Tate-Shōsū meets at least three times a year and in special occasion when called for by the Haimajika. While typically there is no political parties in Magia Regnum, members of the Tate-Shōsū often form "factions" within. The head of the is referred to as the Prime Shoujo who represents the Tate-Shōsū, signs documents and speaks on its behalf. The Prime Shoujo is usually selected by an internal vote from among the members of the Tate-Shōsū with a ceremonial appointment by the Haimajika. The Haimajika may object to the choice; however this is a rare occurrence. A Prime Shoujo typically serves 6 years and can be re-appointed indefinitely. The current Prime Shoujo is the Magical Girl Horiko "Galaxy Gem" Tomiyo who has served since Hilaria 15th, 1602.

The Seigi Kaikan is the judicial body which oversees Magia Regnum's contract enforcement as well as the protectors of the nation as an interdimensional security force primary tasked with monitoring fighting off Otherspawn which may appear. It fills a unique role as both a judicial organization with it's Inspection Department (Magian:査察部; Sasatsu Bu) and Detention Bureau (Magian:拘留局; Kōryū-kyoku) but also a military role with the Armaments Service (Magian:武装隊 Busō Tai), Threat Countermeasure Department (Magian:脅威対策室 Kyōi Taisaku Shitsu), and Training Corps (Magian:教育隊 Kyōiku Tai). has three levels of courts: courts of first instance, courts of appeals, and the High Magia. The leader of both the Judicial and Military affairs is the Shuryō (Magian:主要; Chief) and is selected from among the Seigi Kaikan by the Haimajika. The Shuryō typically is expected to serve a term of at least 8 years, however there is no hard rule for their tenure due to the nature of the affairs of the Seigi Kaikan. The current Shuryō is Magical Girl Haruka "Honey Yohko" Asato who has served since Audax 4th, 1605.

Administrative Divisions

Magia Regnum is divided into 11 prefectures and one special administrative zone, each overseen by a workers' council, which is responsible for managing the day-to-day affairs of the prefecture. These councils are made up of representatives from various sectors of society, including workers, farmers, and merchants. The council is elected by the citizens of the prefecture and is responsible for making decisions on behalf of the people.

Emishoto is a special administrative zone located in the southern part of Magia Regnum. Prior to its establishment in 1597, it was a part of Jinyuan prefecture. The decision to create the special administrative zone was made in response to the increasing Hoka Shoujo activity in the area. The Hoka Shoujo, a group of rogue magical girls, were causing widespread destruction and chaos in the region, and the Magian government felt the need to take action to control the situation. After the creation of the special administrative zone, the area became heavily militarized, with border checkpoints and patrols set up to control access to the region. The Hoka Shoujo continued to be a problem in the area, and many of them eventually set up camps in Emishoto. Despite the government's efforts to maintain control over the area, the Hoka camps continued to operate, and the inhabitants of the zone eventually declared it a self-declared autonomous zone.

The Magian government announced that it would focus on containing the Hoka camps in Emishoto rather than taking the area back immediately, as it had other pressing issues to attend to. Today, Emishoto remains a highly volatile area, with sporadic outbreaks of violence and clashes between the Hoka Shoujo and Magian security forces.

Foreign Relations

As a result of its isolation, Magia Regnum seldom maintains relations with those it considers "outside the Magical Girl Realm; that is those that mainly lay outside of Dacia. Even then, Magia Regnum has a generally unfavorable attitude to those and considers most of the magical girl nations to simply be "tolerable." Initially, Magia Regnum had a strict policy of diplomatic ties only with others within the Magical Girl Realm, with a policy of what it considers eventually reunification with it's "former territories" - though what this actually means is often disputed - and a complete integration with Magical girls into a single body. However, Magia Regnum enjoys a warm relationship with Lurynia which is often considered it's closest ally and has since opened up to other nations; however it remains suspicious and distant of those who do not use magic.

International Disputes

Magia Regnum mostly keeps to itself, however there is a a major point of contention which revolves around the recognition and leadership of the Magical Girl Realm, a region within the continent of Dacia in Sparkalia, comprising three main magical girl nations: Magia Regnum, Regeliana, and Lurynia. While Magia Regnum asserts its dominance and claims leadership over the region, Regeliana and Lurynia reject this notion, emphasizing their own sovereignty and equal cooperation among the nations. The disagreement arises due to differing interpretations of the concept and the perceived attempts by Magia Regnum to suppress the unique identities of other magical girl nations. The primary point of contention is the recognition of the Magical Girl Realm as a regional entity. Magia Regnum strongly asserts its existence and promotes the term, while Regeliana and Lurynia may not acknowledge it or view it as a means for Magia Regnum to dominate the region. Magia Regnum claims leadership over the Magical Girl Realm based on its history, cultural heritage, and the "One Body" doctrine. However, Regeliana and Lurynia reject this assertion, emphasizing their own sovereignty and equality among the nations. Regeliana and Lurynia argue that Magia Regnum's push for reunification and integration under the "One Body" doctrine undermines the distinct cultures, traditions, and magical abilities of their respective nations. They perceive this as an attempt by Magia Regnum to suppress their unique identities as magical girl nations.

Miltiary

The Seigi Kaikan is a key institution in Magia Regnum responsible for overseeing contract enforcement and maintaining the peace and independence of the country. It is often referred to as the "Hall of Justice" and is composed of a panel of judges and military personell to ensure those that are falling to hoka influence are intervened on. In addition to its role in contract enforcement, the Seigi Kaikan is also responsible for preserving the peace and independence of Magia Regnum. This includes maintaining order within the country, as well as defending against external threats. The Seigi Kaikan has its own security forces, known as the "Sentinels" who are responsible for upholding the law and protecting the citizens of Magia Regnum.

The primary goal of the sentinels is to protect the magical world and its inhabitants from all forms of threats, including dangerous magical creatures, rogue magical girls, and otherworldly beings like the Sonohoka and Otherspawn. The Seigi Kaikan is known for their strict training and rigorous selection process, which only admits the most skilled and dedicated magical girls. Members of the Seigi Kaikan undergo extensive physical and magical training, as well as specialized education in combat tactics, intelligence gathering, and diplomacy. In addition to their combat abilities, the Seigi Kaikan is also known for their advanced technological resources, which they use to monitor threats and coordinate responses. They also maintain close ties with other magical girl organizations and communities, working together to share knowledge and resources in the ongoing battle against darkness.

Infrastructure

Science, technology, and magic

Science, technology, and magic are closely intertwined in the world of Magia Regnum. The use of magic is ubiquitous in everyday life, from transportation to communication, and it has led to the development of unique technologies and scientific advancements. In this sense, science and technology are often used to support the use and expansion of magic, while also being influenced and enhanced by it. One example of the integration of science and magic is the development of magical technology, which is powered by mana instead of electricity. This has led to the creation of devices and machinery that would be impossible with conventional technology, such as teleportation devices and magical flying vehicles. In addition, many of these technologies are designed with the goal of supporting magical girls, allowing them to better utilize their abilities and enhance their combat capabilities.

Magia Regnum also has a significant focus on research and development in the field of magic, with many universities and institutions dedicated to the study of magical theory and application. These institutions work to further our understanding of magic and develop new techniques and technologies to support it. However, this focus on magic has also led to a potential neglect of conventional science and technology. While Magia Regnum boasts some of the most advanced magical technologies in the world, it may lag behind in areas such as conventional engineering and medical research. This can lead to a lack of technological diversity and potential vulnerabilities in the event of magical attacks or disruptions.

Communications

Communications in Magia Regnum are highly advanced and incorporate magical technology. The main form of communication is through a magical communication network that operates similarly to traditional telecommunication networks but uses magic as a medium. The network allows for real-time communication across great distances and is accessible through various magical devices such as crystal balls, mirrors, and even magical runes. In addition to this, there are also magical telepathy and telekinesis which can be used for communication. Telepathy allows for communication between individuals without the need for physical devices, while telekinesis can be used to send messages by moving objects or creating patterns in the air. These methods are generally considered to be less reliable than the magical communication network, but they are still useful in situations where physical devices are not available or where secrecy is important.

Magia Regnum also has a well-developed system of magical broadcasting that allows for the transmission of magical signals over long distances. These signals can be used for entertainment, news, and education. The magical broadcasting system is accessible through various devices such as magical crystals and amulets.

Transportation

Magia Regnum has a vast transportation network, which is necessary to connect the country's numerous settlements and cities. The country has invested heavily in developing its infrastructure to ensure efficient movement of goods and people across the country. As of 2017, Magia Regnum had a total of approximately 1,200,000 kilometers (750,000 miles) of roads. This extensive road network is composed of 1,000,000 kilometers (620,000 miles) of city, town and village roads, 130,000 kilometers (81,000 miles) of prefectural roads, 54,736 kilometers (34,011 miles) of general national highways, and 7,641 kilometers (4,748 miles) of national expressways. The country's road network is well-maintained and enables quick and efficient movement of goods and people. City, town, and village roads connect local communities, while prefectural roads connect prefectures and general national highways connect major cities and towns. National expressways, on the other hand, are high-speed toll roads that connect the major cities and regions of the country.

A Magian train which runs off mana

In addition to the road network, Magia Regnum also has an extensive railway system, including both conventional and high-speed trains. The railway system connects the major cities and towns of the country and is an essential mode of transportation for both goods and people. Magia Regnum has a highly developed railway system, with state-owned railways accounting for most of the country's railway network. The railways in Magia Regnum are considered among the busiest in the world, and are known for their efficiency and punctuality.. As of 1611, Magia Regnum had a total of 127,000 kilometers (78,914 miles) of railways, making it one of the most extensive railway networks in the world. The railway system connects almost all of the country's major cities and towns, as well as many rural areas. The railway network is divided into four main categories: bullet trains, limited express trains, express trains, and local trains.

The bullet train, is a high-speed train that travels at speeds of up to 320 km/h (200 mph). The bullet train network in Magia Regnum includes several lines that connect major cities and regions throughout the country. The limited express trains are also high-speed trains, but they stop at fewer stations than the shinkansen. The express trains and local trains are slower than the shinkansen and limited express trains, but they serve more stations and are more affordable. Magia Regnum's railway system is also known for its safety and reliability. The country has invested heavily in railway infrastructure and technology, such as automatic train control systems, to ensure that its railways operate smoothly and efficiently. The country's railway operators also have a strong safety culture and are known for their rigorous training and maintenance programs.

Magia Regnum has a relatively small number of airports due to its compact size and efficient rail network as well as it's low rate of emigration. The main international airport is the Emicity International Airport, which is located in the capital city of Emicity. The airport serves as the main gateway to the country and handles most of the international flights. The airport has a single terminal building with modern facilities and is well-connected to the city center by a high-speed train and a dedicated expressway. In addition to the Emicity International Airport, there are several other airports in the country, which mainly serve domestic routes. These airports are located in major cities and towns across the country and are used for transporting goods and people between different regions of the country. Some of the other important airports in Magia Regnum include the Aria City Airport, the Cerritos Regional Airport, and the Himeji Municipal Airport.

Magia Regnum's aviation industry is regulated by the Kotoba, which is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of air transportation in the country. The bureau oversees the operation of airports, air traffic control, and other aspects of the aviation industry.

Energy

As of 1611, 37.1% of energy in Magia Regnum was produced from Internal Mana, 25.1% from Environmental Mana, 22.4% from natural gas, 3.5% from hydropower and 2.8% from Pranic Recharge., among other sources. Internal Mana, also known as innate magical energy, is the primary source of energy for most Magical Girls in Magia Regnum. This energy is produced naturally within their dimensional realms and can be used to power spells and magical items. As a result, it is a readily available source of energy for the country. Environmental Mana, on the other hand, is the energy that is produced from the natural elements around us. This includes wind, solar, and geothermal energy. Magia Regnum has invested heavily in developing and harnessing this type of energy, particularly in recent years, as part of its efforts to reduce its reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

Natural gas is another significant source of energy for the country, particularly in urban areas where it is widely used for heating and cooking. Hydropower, which is generated from the movement of water, is a relatively small but growing source of energy in Magia Regnum, with the potential for further development. Pranic Recharge is a newer technology that involves harnessing the energy produced by living organisms, including plants and animals. While still in the experimental phase, it has shown promising results and is being researched further as a potential source of energy.

Water and Sanitation

Magia Regnum places great importance on the provision of clean water and sanitation facilities to its citizens. Responsibility for the water and sanitation sector is shared between several ministries. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare oversees the water supply for domestic use, while the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport is responsible for water resources development and sanitation. The Ministry of the Environment is in charge of ambient water quality and environmental preservation, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is responsible for performance benchmarking of utilities. Access to an improved water source is universal in Magia Regnum. Approximately 98% of the population receives piped water supply from public utilities, with the remaining population relying on alternative sources such as wells or rainwater harvesting. The country's water supply system is highly advanced, and its quality is closely monitored by government agencies to ensure that it meets the highest standards of purity and safety.

Magia Regnum has also made significant strides in improving sanitation facilities throughout the country. The government has invested heavily in the construction of modern wastewater treatment facilities, and as a result, the majority of the population has access to improved sanitation facilities. The country's public toilets are well-maintained and are often equipped with advanced features.

Economy

Magia Regnum is home to a large number of magical girls, and they play a vital role in various sectors of the economy, including healthcare, transportation, and energy production. The country is also known for its advanced magical technology, which is highly sought after by other nations. Additionally, many magical creatures, such as familiars and elementals, play a role in the economy, including in agriculture and construction. Magia Regnum has a highly developed market economy, with a focus on exports, particularly in the area of magical technology. The country's main exports include magical devices, potions, and other magical products. It is also a significant producer of precious metals and gemstones, with many magical ores and minerals found within its borders.

The country has a highly educated workforce, with a focus on the study of magic and technology. The government provides subsidies and other incentives to businesses involved in research and development in these fields. The country also has a strong tradition of entrepreneurship, with many small and medium-sized businesses involved in various sectors of the economy. the banking sector in Magia Regnum is highly developed, with a focus on providing loans to businesses involved in the development and production of magical technology. The country has a highly regulated financial sector, with strict rules governing lending practices and investment activities.

Additionally, magical girls are employed as researchers in various fields such as medicine, engineering, and natural sciences. They often use their magical abilities to improve and enhance the efficiency of the research, leading to significant advancements in various fields. Moreover, magical girls also contribute to the economy through their role as protectors of the land. They help prevent disasters caused by rogue magical entities or even natural disasters, thus minimizing damage and economic loss. They are often called upon by the government and local authorities to help in rescue missions or during crisis situations.

Income and Poverty

Due to its strong economy and advanced social welfare system, Magia Regnum has a relatively low poverty rate. As of 1611, the poverty rate in Magia Regnum was estimated to be around 4%, which is one of the lowest in the world. The government has implemented various policies to alleviate poverty and provide assistance to low-income families, including direct cash transfers, subsidies for housing and education, and job training programs. In terms of income, Magia Regnum has a relatively equal distribution of wealth. The country has a high GDP per capita, which was estimated at over $80,000 in 1611, and a low Gini coefficient, which measures income inequality.

In Magia Regnum, magical girls play a crucial role in the economy and contribute significantly to the country's workforce. They have access to a wide range of opportunities and resources to enhance their skills and abilities, and many of them have successful careers and high incomes. The Kotoba has implemented policies aimed at promoting the economic empowerment of magical girls. These policies include providing access to education and training programs that enable magical girls to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in various fields. The government also promotes entrepreneurship among magical girls, offering financial support and business development services to encourage them to start their own businesses. One of the unique aspects of the Magian faith is that the deity they worship, the Ōrumaiti, exists physically within Magia Regnum. This sets it apart from most contemporary religions, which often view their deities as intangible or metaphysical. The Ōrumaiti is a central figure in Magian society and plays an important role in the lives of all magical girls within Magia Regnum. When a magical girl forms a contract with the Ōrumaiti, she receives her magical powers in exchange for a promise to protect her and provide her with a source of life force. This contract is binding, and the magical girl must adhere to its terms throughout her life. The Ōrumaiti embodies purity, justice, and beauty, and drawing upon her power grants the user the same qualities.

Magian citizens are expected to participate in religious ceremonies and festivals that are dedicated to Ōrumaiti. These events often involve offerings and prayers to the deity, and they are an important part of Magian culture. Many of the buildings and structures in Magia Regnum are also designed with religious symbolism in mind, and they serve as physical representations of the Ōrumaiti faith. The Ōrumaiti faith also plays a crucial role in the lives of magical girls, who are an integral part of Magian society. As mentioned earlier, all magical girls are required to form a contract with Ōrumaiti in order to receive their powers. The contract obligates them to protect Ōrumaiti and to provide her with a source of life force in exchange for granting them power. This connection to Ōrumaiti is seen as both a great privilege and a great responsibility, and many magical girls strive to embody the values of purity, justice, and beauty in their magical endeavors. Overall, adherence to the absolute will of Ōrumaiti is seen as an important part of being a responsible and contributing member of Magian society.

It is a complex language that has evolved over time, incorporating various elements from other languages and dialects. Today, it is the national language of Magia Regnum, and it is spoken by the majority of the population. One of the most distinctive features of Magian writing is the use of ensoji characters. In Magia Regnum, the use of kanji is an important part of the written language, and it is used to represent a wide range of concepts and ideas. The Magian language has its own unique characteristics that distinguish it from other languages. For example, it is known for its complex grammar and sentence structure, which can be difficult for non-native speakers to master. However, it is also a beautiful language, with a rich poetic tradition that has produced some of the most beautiful and enduring works of literature in the world.

The integration of the common alphabet and numerals into the Magian writing system has helped to make communication between Magia Regnum and other countries much easier. The common alphabet is a widely-used writing system that is used in many countries around the world. By integrating the common alphabet and numerals into the Magian writing system, Magia Regnum has been able to participate more fully in the global community and communicate more effectively with other countries. However, the increasing importance of international trade and communication has also led to the growing importance of Common as an international link language. Common is a widely-spoken language that is used in many countries around the world as a second language, and it has become an important tool for international communication. In the mid-1500s, Magia Regnum recognized the growing importance of Common and began to incorporate it into the education system. Despite the popularity of private education in Magia Regnum, the Kotoba ensures that all schools, both public and private, adhere to the same basic standards of education. This helps to ensure that all students receive a basic education that prepares them for life in the magical world, regardless of the type of school they attend.

As students approach the age where they may form a contract with the Ōrumaiti, they receive specialized training in combat and strategic thinking, as well as lessons on how to use magic to protect themselves and others. This training is essential for students to become responsible and skilled magical beings who can contribute positively to society. The combat training involves learning different techniques of fighting, such as hand-to-hand combat, weapons training, and magical combat. Students are taught how to use their powers to fight as well as how to strategically plan and execute battles. This includes learning how to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of an opponent and develop effective strategies to overcome them. In addition to combat training, students also receive lessons on how to use their magic to protect themselves and others.
