The 2022 Summer Olympics are an upcoming international multi-sport event for the Olympic Games held from August 12-26, 2022, in Saint Raneau, Albarine. They are the first Olympics held in Albarine and the first in Southern Adula since the 1986 Games in Santos, Alecburgh. Saint Raneau won the bid to host from a 7 entry contest.
The Olympics saw the notable absense of several prominent committees, including that of Yuan who chose to boycott the Games following the Jinchon Sea crisis and international condemnation over the status of Gangkou, Pangchu, and Western Tasiastan. Other nations holding close relations with Yuan, mostly members of ACWAC including Barangadesh, Pekastan, and Kylastan also boycotted the Games.
Bidding and Election
Saint Raneau, Allengin, Adrikagorod, Gran Telea, Viitaniemi, Arianna, and Dream City were the 7 candidate cities. The process was slowed by withdrawals, political uncertainty, and deterring costs.
