Mushakan (Mushaken: Մուշական, Mushakan) officially the Heavenly Kingdom of Mushakan (Mushaken: Մուշականոմ երկնային արքայություն, Mushakanom Erkayin Arkʻayutʻyun) is a closed-off island country located in the Magna Sea. Its closest neighbor is Judias. Mushakan consists of a volcanic archipelago, with 5 other smaller islands surrounding it. 98% of the population lives on the main island, Hin, while 2% of the population lives on the four of the five other surrounding islands, Barjrkʻar, Ampleṙ, Arcatʻpʻrpʻur and Pʻokʻrxutʻ. The area size of the country is about 848 Square Kilometers, with the majority of it being the island of Hin and a population of 37,759, it is the smallest and least populated sovereign state in Sparkalia.
The islands of Mushakan were formed by volcanic activity around 300,000 BR and here are still some geothermal activity on the small island of Hurkġzi, where Mt.Hur is located. The archipelago of Mushakan was colonized by Hayaric peoples around 300 BR, being presumedly uninhabited until then, and less than two centuries after would arise the first proper state, known today as Aṙaǰinid Mushakan, until a little over the period known in Sparkalian history as the Great Reset.
Etymology
The word Mushakan is of Hayaric origin and it comes from the stem Mušak- and the word an, meaning "Land of". The origin of the Hayaric languages is unknown but they are spoken mostly on the continent of Pelia and spread out islands all over the Magna sea and the Great Ocean.
History
Prehistory
The archipelago arose around 300,000 years ago from volcanic activity in the Magna Sea, leading to the formation of the small island chain. It would be quickly colonized by lifeforms from Ilus who quickly began to diverge and be contained in the small island, the quick spread of life onto the island suggest it was quickly made to be a stopping point in the migrations of birds, presumably the first colonizers of the islands.
Early settlement
During the 4th and 3rd centuries BR there is archaeological and written evidence for the arrival of Hayaric peoples into the archipelago from the continent of Pelia, these settlers belong to the Insular Hayaric groups that had begun to spring up from Pelia into the chain of islands that marks the border between the Magna Sea and Great Ocean, this area being one of the earliest permanent settlements of these peoples. The chronics of the lands relate how three vessels of the Hayari, guided by a great godess known as Sā́dhṛmayr, crash landed on this island archipelago and were bound to inhabit it. During the earliest centuries the population was very small and the three groups moved to different sections of the island, deciding to stay away from eachother for as long as possible.
