The Yulsan Armed Forces is a military organization under the command of the president, the minister of defense, and the military commanders. Its duties include defending its national territory, counterterror operations, and carrying out military operations to improve Yulsan's national interests.
Yulsan provides conscription services for healthy adult men and women over the age of 18. As of 1613 AR, Yulsan's active force was 1,123,400, while the reserve force was 3,045,400.
After completing their military service, Yulsan's men and women will join the reserve army for five years after their discharge. The reserve soldiers will undergo military training three days a year during their daily lives. In case of emergency, the reserve soldiers will be mobilized by the president's mobilization order to serve as military troops.
Yulsan is a country that has nuclear weapons and chemical weapons. Yulsan classifies nuclear weapons as strategic weapons and is preparing to use them by using hypersonic missiles, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles.
Yulsan had bioweapons programs before the Blood War, but it was abandoned after the Blood War ended.
The Yulsan Army Forces are composed of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Army is tasked with defending Yulsan's territories, people, and interests from threats on the ground. The majority of divisions in the Army are composed of armored divisions or mechanized infantry divisions. The Navy consists of one regional fleet, three ocean fleets, and a strategic command, and it is classified as a blue-water navy. In addition, the Navy is a unit that operates strategic nuclear weapons and has the character of a strategic force. The Air Force consists of 46 fighter wings and various units that support them. Like the Navy, the Air Force is also operating strategic nuclear weapons. The Space Command, also under the Air Force, is in charge of space powers, including military satellites and unmanned shuttles.
Command structure
The Yulsan Armed Forces has the president as its commander-in-chief and is commanded by the president and the minister of defense and other commanders. All other commanders except the president and the defense minister are made up of active duty soldiers.
Yulsan Armed Forces are controlled by the principles of civil control. Only civilians or retired soldiers can serve as minister of defense, and active duty soldiers cannot serve as defense ministers.
